Love these tires. Light, fast, durable and sticky! I've ridden numerous other tires and these are the best....250 mile training week, crit, social ride..... it doesn't matter these tires do it all!

Light weight, good grip, and comfortable riding. My favorite road tire.

Started using the GP 5000 when the 4000 S II stopped being made. I can't say I really notice a difference to the 4000 S II, but still get great roll with them, and have only had 1 flat in 3.5 years of riding (roughly 8000 miles). Purchased when on sale, and use them exclusively. I am a 205 lb rider using the 23mm version, but like the way they ride and handle.

IMO still the best tires. I use tubes, both latex, and TPU. Don't care for the hassle of tubeless. Rugged, fast, great cornering.

Fast, durable, light. Not aware of anything better.

Durable, fast rolling, easy to install tire. Have used Continental's for years. The 5000 just improves on earlier models.

I've ridden them 325 miles with no problems. I don't know how the tire compares to the gp4000's on my other bike, it was aluminum with aluminum wheels. The new bike is CF with CF wheels. I can say they ride nice but get them on sale if you can.

These 32mm GP 5000 replaced 28 mm Gatorskins. I wanted 28s and they were out so decided to try the 32s since wide tires are all the rage. It may be my imagination but they seem heavier and slower. My times aren't much different but my ride feels more sluggish. I'm not upset with the tires but I'm not excited about them either. They were a good value.

I guess my reaction to these is tainted because I expected the 5000s to be the next improved version of the 4000's. Instead I found a totally different tire - not as tough, not as long lasting and not worth the price. And the worst part is I can't find the 4000s anywhere.

This is my third set on my bike, second time I've purchased BTD. I received the tires very quickly. 5k last about 2500 mi or more. Thorn resistant. Side walls are resistant to tears and other road debris.

I will not ride on anything else, GP5000s are that good. I even use their Conti Race 28 inner tubes.

The Grand Prix 5000s held up well to the chip seal and gravel sections of the Tour De Zona no flats no loss of air. they rolled well and had great grip.

I had been using the GP 500 for the last 6-7 months and for the most part they were fine. Aside from all the marketing, they had decent puncture protection for about 4000 miles. I find Contis very hard to mount on my Mavic rims though so once the flats started coming (and they have been coming fast and furious) I've grown to hate them!

I have had serious issues fitting to 2 different sets of Mavic wheels. No way I am using these on carbon wheels. This is unfortunate considering I have used these a lot in the past.

I'm a former evangelist of the Conti 4000s; the last several times I've purchased the 5000s within about 500 miles (~2 weeks for me) I've had sidewall blowouts on these tires. Quality control has either completely decreased, or the tires themselves have manufacturing issues. I've since moved to the Vittoria Rubino Pro Speed G2.0s and have had ZERO flats in 1,800+ miles. Will be staying away from the 5000s for the foreseeable future.

I've used GP5000s on my road bike as well as my wife's for a little over a year. They're my favorite road tire - nice smooth roll with plenty of speed and grip. Upgraded from Vittoria Rubino's and I would never go back (though I do hear great things about their Corsa tire).

Replaced older 4000 model and went from 25 to 28c. Rode is sublime and grip is as expected with new tires.

Best bike tires on the market hands down

I rode the Continental 4000 for a couple of years as my go to tire. So I was sceptical about the Continental GP 5000 but these even better. (Lite, great grip on the road with a fast smooth roll.)
