I may have brainwashed myself after reading all the reviews and advertisements for these tires but they do feel more comfortable and just ridiculously fast with all the grip you would ever need in wet or dry conditions. I have 24mm wide rims (19.5 internal) and did not need tire levers to mount them, these are definitely smaller than the 4000S ll but pair up to my rims nicely. Unfortunately I cut my front tire deep enough to expose the inner tube (pink latex) so it will need to be replaced but somehow it did not flat and the small hole hasn't gotten any bigger. I ran over broken glass that probably would have flatted most road tires, not sure if a tubeless setup would have helped either.

holding up very well so far. No issues with traction yet - and a heck of a lot lighter than my Duranos that I had for a while.

With or without tubes these are faster and I'm a long time GP4000 user. Beware their sizing has changed so the tires are actually as wide as the label. In other words GP4000 28's are the same size as GP5000 32's. This goes for the entire line. By one size larger to get same size as 4000's

The tan-yellow sidewalls look great on my black bike. Performance is typical for GP5000 - which is to say good to great.

This tire has legendary status for a reason. Checks a lot of boxes: durability, feel, rolling resistance. Been running this model and its ancestors a long time, have tried others, but always come back to this one.

I have ridden Continental for years, maybe decades now. The technology keeps getting better. I ride mostly road and road conditions can be messy. 5000 is even better. I ride 25mm and can go through most road debris that gets pushed onto the road shoulders. I have confidence in these tires.

This tire very rugged and has superior puncture resistance. It grips the road very well to give an unparalleled feel when riding in practically any outdoor conditions. Regardless of your preference for tubeless or tubes performance is never lacking.

I recently switched to the Continental Grand Prix 5000 and I'm very happy with my purchase. I've ridden about 800 KM with these tires and the grip is excellent and has performed well in the rain. I live in a city where wet weather can come unexpectedly and it's reassuring to know that these tires can perform well in wet conditions.

I bought a pair of these when they first became available last week. I've only got 100 miles or so on them, so the jury is still out, but so far they seem at least as nice as the last version - GP4000S2.

I've been riding long enough to have used every generation since the GP2000. Continental has always had a strong contender in the high-end clincher road tire market. Since the introduction of the GP4000, they have pretty much dominated this segment. The GP4000 S2 was, or is, the tire of choice for the majority of riders in my bike club.

With each generation, Continental has made improvements in wear, flat protection, and ride quality. I'm looking forward to seeing how much better this new tire is compared to the old one, but I'll be really surprised if it isn't a noticeable upgrade.

I used this tire on a week long tour of Wyoming backroads. I also installed a 28 Conti Gatorskin on the rear. I am very impressed with both as I had zero punctures on the ride while my fellow tourists suffered many punctures. The tires replaced a pair of Vittoria Corsa tires with excellent road feel but suffered many cuts and the Conti's were 95% as nice riding as the Vittorias. I am a new Conti fan

As a huge long time fan of the 4000S2 I am so excited to have the new Grand Prix 5000.

The quality looks fantastic, and while I have only done a short ride on them so far, the early feeling is that this tire is fast and grippy. Can't wait to put more miles on them!

Another awesome performance road tire from Continental. I've been a real fan of the GP4000 S2. There really hasn't been anything else that was really as good for performance road cycling. For a tire that grips and rides as well as the GP4000, it is surprisingly durable and resistant to flats.

Based on my admittedly limited experience with the GP5000 so far, it seems at least as good and probably better. Nice and grippy even on cold, wet roads. And it looks like it's going to be available in 700x32 which I'm really looking forward to for my endurance bike.

Personally, I think these are the best tires money can buy. The are comfortable to ride, easy to install, withstand punctures and last. I road them across the US with only two flats, through gravel, country pothole roads, highways, 246,00+ grasshoppers,... etc. A great tire.

I have been using the GP5000s on three different bikes and I love them. To me, they are such a good, all-around performer. They are fast, durable, and puncture resistant. GP5000s are my go-to tire now.

Top of the line for Continental. I have been using this tire only for several years now, and they are great !

Comfortable ride, roll resistance, and all around smooth and great riding tire.

I had these installed at a local bike shop. The tires provide excellent grip to the road, and with more than 250 miles of use so far, I am very satisfied with the tire!

Best gripping tire I have had in 8 years.

I use the clincher tires and have no problem changing tires, although some cyclists in the club have had difficulty changing TR ready ones.

A classic tire that wears well and handles even better. Consistent edge to edge roll improves handling and confidence.
