I've been running Continental GP5000 tires on my bikes for several years and have been very satisfied with their performance. Great grip and wear and they look good.

Great tires always buy them when they're on sale. Nice to have a stock when you get a cut.

After picking up a piece of glass on one winter ride, it gave me reason to inspect my tires and replace them. I chose the Conti GP 5000 based on size and price. I've ridden them 5-6 times since, in between our touchy New England weather events. Tires are fast, responsive, and grip well on damp/wet cobbled roads. I recommend these for spirited road riding.

Offering consistent and excellent quality with as good a puncture resistance as can reasonably be expected with roads and shoulders littered with jetsam, as they are around Portland OR.

I already had these tires but the colored sidewalls hadn't been offered on the 700x28. I chose the transparent over the cream strictly for the look but they are the same great tire with the the comfort, grip, toughness, and low rolling resistance you expect.

The road feel, adhesion, wear and cornering on the 5000 is excellent, but beware if you experience a flat while out on the road. Even with the use of a variety of the latest tire "iron" devices such as those made by Crank Brothers and KoolStop, these tightly fitting tires are not an easy install or de-install.

I have been using Continental tires for quite some time - I have been riding for 32 years and using Conti's since the early 90s - and I have always been impressed with their performance. This tire is no exception. The ride quality is top notch, right up there with tubeless/tubulars. I have not used this particular tire long enough to give it a durability rating or comment on that. Easy to install and they look great.

I've ridden on these tires for years and except for picking up a jagged piece of metal which ripped the side wall after catching on the rear brake, I've not had a flat in over 30,000 miles. I'm an endurance rider, but I love hard cornering and "bombing" down-hills. These tires handle it all. The GP5000 is the ONLY tire I buy.

I've been using these since they came a few years ago. I've had great luck with very few flats and lots of miles out of them. They are light, grip well and are holding up well. Excellent all around tire.

Strong material excellent engineering technology I personally run 600 miles no flats always check my PSI most be at 120 no issues every 600 miles I replaced them not a single flat outstanding performance cero rolling resistance.

We got tired of air leakage with GP5000 tubeless, plus having to clean inside on a schedule. Went back to clincher GP5000 with great results. On ordinary suburban rides (i.e. not inner city or such with glass everywhere), have never gotten a flat with these. Love them.

My choice for all tarmac rides. Good grip, very easy to mount and fit to rim. I run inner tubes and never had a puncture on them.

My only gripe is that tread wears out a lot faster than the predecessor GP 4000s.

Good purchase

I bought these to replace my aging tires specifically for a century in San Antonio with all the crappy Texas chip seal you can imagine and they held up great (no flats!). I bought 28mm and haven't tried putting calipers on them but my guess is they're narrow. I was able to mount them with my bare hands too, which is always a plus. Great tires, would buy again.

My experiences with the GP5000 tire has been very good. A bit pricey, and I can only get 1200-1500 miles on a set; but experience on road has been a good performer. I plan to continue I need to use this tire on my road bike

I have done miles up on miles with minimal puncture.

Although expensive, this is an exceptionally good tire. While I liked the Continental 4000 for its light weight and good handling, I experienced problems with having sidewall cuts. The 5000 seems to have solved this problem and it is now far more reliable. Fast, light, exceptional handling and good wear characteristics, it is my tire of choice.

Great tire, changed from 25 mm to 28 for a little softer ride

This tire is a great all around road bike tire that holds up very well in a variety of conditions. It has good traction and puncture protection.

Moved to these tires from the 4000S. These tires seem to be a bit faster (or I am a little fitter). There is an increase in speed with these tires. The black chili rubber is sticky and sticks very well in the corners. I cannot comment on the puncture protection, so far they are holding up well.

Great quality fast tires on open road and light!!
