I've been a Continental Grand Prix rider for years. When I upgraded my bike to use a 700/28 I couldn't believe the increased comfort and handling on downhills. Durability is key; I'm a road biker on backroads that could use a lot of TLC and I've never been let down with the Grand Prix 5000 Road Tire. I have recommended it to my group and to anyone looking for a great tire.

Much faster than my old tires, grippier, can capture corners like never before.

Continental is fabulous and Western's prices are the best, you cannot go wrong.

Great tire which holds the corners, rolls fast and provides a smooth ride.

Great tires. Have always run Continental tires on my road bike. Same wear but better feel than the old 4000s.

You know the script. GPs are great tires and the 5000 is the next iteration of this greatness. Shop around. Compare. Then get another set of GPs. They are a beast to get on the first time though...

Have had these for about 6 weeks. They roll nicely and are lighter than my Michelin Power Endurance. Time will tell how long they last but ' so far so good'. They seem to grip the road well on descents and through curves. I bought the 28mm and I like the feel of them although for some reason they don't look as wide as the Michelins

You will love these tires especially at this price.

I have always used the Continental Grand Prix's on my wheels. I tried a competitor tire for a short period of time, was not as comfortable with the cornering ability and had a series of flats. Went back to the Grand Prix's and couldn't be happier.

really like the tread pattern on these tires and they are great in in wet weather, they can be a challenge to put on but if you leave them in the sun or in the a bucket of hot water it will make them easier to put on, make sure to put the on with arrow facing forward.

I have used this tire exclusively on all my bikes since it came out. It has a great road feel and feels fast. I rarely get punctures and the tire lasts a long time for having such grippy rubber.

Extremely pleased with performance and durability for this Clydesdale. Came to these after a long run with a now discontinued tire from a different manufacturer. After riding the new tires for several weeks I ordered several spares at Western's great prices!!

I have used many Contis over my near 40 yrs of racing. I have used the GP5000 clincher since they came out. However I have had so many fail I have had to stop using them. The problem is the sidewall splits radially, a short tear thru the sidewall about 1/8" long, They all look identical: not cut, but torn, convincing me there is an problem with the design of this tire. I don't recall having tire failures like this-I usually wear them out.

I was a long time gatorskin rider and switched when I transitioned to carbon rims. They deliver the grip and speed I appreciate. The downside is I have noticed a large uptick in sidewall damage. The kind where your tube may poke thru. I think it is the performance trade off vs. the gatorskins.

Generally regarded as the best road clincher out there. I have used the GP4K for years and now rolling on GP5K. Awesome grip, no issues with durability or flats. I was at my excellent shop and asked them what tire to use when I converted to tubeless. This was top of their list.

Tires are fast and have been relatively durable for me. Some small road hazard type of nicks after a few hundred miles. I've flatted only once thus far while riding (and was when I hit something relatively hard). Expected the tire to have damage but it took the hit. Tires look sharp and are def. a challenge to mount given the tight fit.

This tire rails descents. Very impressive traction, but the jury is out on wear. It seems to get a flat spot in the center sooner than the 4000s did. I also noticed more damage to the sidewalls than I have seen on the 4000 after a short trek through gravel.

I get more miles from the Continental Grand Prix 5000 that any other tire that I have used. Additionally I have been using Continental Grand Prix 5000 on my Road bike and find they are flat resistant to thorns. I recommend these tires

Super supple tire, I went with the 32's from a 28 and lowered the pressure a tad. These ride great! I love the feel and was really happy with the ride but kept getting flats. Then a big slash in the tire. Wish I could keep riding them but went back the the 4 season 4000's in a 32 and haven't had a flat since.
