Stupid Name, BUT... it's Wider, FASTER, and still Lighter than the competition

This new Dubnital 2.4 Race Rapid has a stupid name. Continental's marketing team should be slapped with wet socks for moving away from the the logical Speed King, Race King, Mountain King, etc, nomenclature.

That said, this is an awesome update to the Race King. This new 2.4 Dub was 634g out of the box. Lighter than the last brown walled 2.2 Race Kings I bought which were both 650g and only measured 55mm. I'm using this new 2.4 Dub on the rear with a 2.3 Cross King on the front. After 100s of miles, they both measure 60mm at the widest point, the casing. The tread measures 59mm at the widest point. Been running 21psi for my 170lbs weight on 30mm i rims.

This tire rolls very fast and has great grip out back. Very consistent, and no surprises and hasn't flinched at the random rock garden or bad line choice while riding and racing.

The only small negative is that I see some slightly faster wear on the side knobs than I would like to see after only a couple hundred of miles. It's dry and loose here in central Oregon, but my last 2.2 Cross Kings wore like iron in comparison. Every recent Schwalbe I've tried wore even worse than this so it's not that bad in comparison. I'll try the Trinotal - another stupid name, next to see if it better fits late summer conditions here while still rolling fast.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great, grippy, yet fast-rolling XC rubber!

I hadn't been a fan of Continental's previous mtb tire options, but when a trusted friend tried these and was super happy with them, I knew I had to try them for myself...and I am sure glad I did. The Dubnital tires are super grippy for low-rolling resistance XC tires and are very light. They are the perfect combination of weight to grip ratio for me. I would recommend these to anyone looking to lighten their rolling mass and keep good grip for XC to light trail riding style!

Thank you for your feedback.

Continental Finally Did It!

I have been asking every Contintental rep for the past 5 years about a RaceKing in 2.4. While this doesn't carry the RaceKing name, it most definitely is exactly that. I have been using the Trail/Grip combination and it's everything I had hoped it would be. The handling is predictable like the RaceKing and carries with it a suppleness that other tires from the likes of Specialized and Maxxis don't have. I ride in the harsh Las Vegas desert and have yet to have an issue with these. I will be putting the Race/Rapid on my race wheels as soon as its' available.

Thank you for your feedback.

Fast

The dubs ride fast and smooth in AZ. They are durable enough to take on technical climbs. Much more predictable than Maxxis Aspen when being leaned over. Some steeper down hill has tore the rear up a little bit, but for a XC tire its expected. For the money they definitely are a top tier tire.

Thank you for your feedback.

Fast

Dubs are FAST. They have good grip when leaned over. Only down side is they get eaten up quick on rocky downhills. Great XC tire so far.

New Dubnital the perfect Leadville tire

I replaced my older Race King 2.2" tires with the new Dubnital 2.4" tires in anticipation to race them at the Leadville Trail 100 mtb race this year. I've tested the tires on the course while pre-riding and they are exactly what I'm looking for! Can't wait till race day in August!

Thank you for your feedback.

These are great XC tires

I have tried kenda booster pros, maxxis aspen, and maxxis rekon race tires. These are a step above. The tread has been fast. You can run fairly low (18psi) I am riding in rooty wet GA. I will definitely buy again despite the dumb name.
