I purchased these tires for my early 90s Team Marin (26") that is mainly used on the road but that sees occasional dirt. I've put about 100 miles on them and they are exactly what I was looking for. I completed a 36 mile ride with some roadies and had no issue keeping up. I rode my local dirt trail that is relatively flat but has loose over hardpack dirt, and they held up with no issues. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a tube type tire that handles dirt and pavement.

Purchased and use these tires on paved and hard packed dirt trails on my mountain bike. Experienced a significant improvement (less road noise and a smoother ride) over my knobby mountain bike tires. Highly recommended for paved and hard backed dirt trails!

The tires were ordered on line. They were delivered on time and were the tires I was expecting. The quality looked good. The price was better than in the brick and mortar stores. I would buy from Bike Tires Direct again.

I converted an old Stumpjumper into a cruiser. Upright bars, flat pedals, fat Continental tires. I ride on bike paths and rail trails. The Double Fighters roll well, while still providing a sure-footed feel through the corners. They're surprisingly plush, adding greatly to that cruiser feeling. I don't have that many miles on them yet, but so far I am very happy with them.

I use these tires to replace old 26x175 tires and the difference is night and day. They feel really good on the street but still provide good grip. Highly recommended.

Smooth rolling, as good as traction as you could expect on grass and gravel for this type of tire.

This new Continental Double Fighter tire tracks very well in mud and does handle gravel well. It is also very quiet and smooth on tarmac. It also absorbs small potholes better than harder tires. It is a little lighter and thinner than I thought it would be, so I installed a tire liner because I live in an area with lots of broken glass, metal debris, etc.

Mostly city riding, but some unpaved rides. Have always loved old school Contis and this one has the feel. Use it in back and a narrower tire up front. Would definitely continue getting these.
