Great performance overall, fast, responsive, grip wet & dry is phenomenal, but I've experienced flats every time that I ride on them, and the TPU tubes are expensive.. These tires are definitely game changers and their performance is everything that Conti says, but their reliability/durability is very costly. Not sure I'd want to chance racing on these. In a amateur Crit, RR or TT if you flat you're pretty much done. Would hate to drive hours, spend money (hotel, food, entry fees) and countless training hours, only to flat in a race!! Although flats/punctures can happen with any tire, these tires seem more susceptible than others. If you want the ultimate performance get these tires, just remember to keep extra tubes or plenty of sealant on hand.

Have about 500 miles on my set, rear is showing a slight flat down the middle and the front just had the ridge wore off. I have these set up tubeless with 65 psi front and 67 rear, wheels have a 25mm internal and tires balloon to measure 31.5 mm.
These aren't going to last thousands of miles; they are race tires that wear quicker, I will live with that cost because these definitely make you faster, combined with the right wheel, and grip as good or better than all the other tires I have tried.

The Archetype tires are as fast as advertised. They are great. Minor downside- they offer very little puncture resistance. I managed to puncture them within about 200 miles. A heavier sealant seems to have remedied the issue and I'm back enjoying the ride.

These Archetypes weigh in at 271g per tire, while a regular GP5000 S TR 30mm weighs in at 308g, thus you save 74g over the already light S TR version. The rolling resistance is great and the tire has this nice supple feel which is probably due to the tire not including a dedicated puncture protection layer like the S TR, which would explain why these are not only lighter but also pretty delicate when it comes to punctures. I found that the tire felt like riding on latex tubes even when setup tubeless. The tire uses the Black Chili compound but to me the tire felt a tad tackier to the touch. These are basically are maybe a slightly revised Grand Prix 5000 TT TR but with Tour de France branding. Speaking of the branding, looks wise the faded yellow/gold Archetype logos are not going to be everyone's taste nor look good on every bike. At $115 per tire I would save these for race days or special events because I don't have a lot of faith these will last all season.

I purchased two sets of the Archtype for my wife and I for RAGBRAI and fast group rides this summer. No flats and the ride is super comfortable using 60psi after we've both ridden 600 miles on them! Grip is excellent even in rain. We want to switch all our road bikes to this tire!

Simple and plain: Unintentionally set a PR for 100 mile solo ride, 89% was in zone 2, @17.1 mph, 4000+ feet elevation. I rode my new EVO 1x, psi specifically set per SRAM calculator on Zipp 303 SW for bike+rider+gear at 190 lbs. Gear means my shoes, filled water bottles. 30mm tires were dolphin-smooth. No fear running tubeless with a micro pump, and zipp's TPU tube as a last resort spare. 293 miles on the tires so far. My STRAVA shows it

Supple, grippy, fast, light. Only downside is that they are not bulletproof. Makes any road bike faster and more comfortable.

These 30mm tires are fantastic! Too early to tell mileage but the first 500 has been great. 48 psi front and 52 psi rear!
