I use this for my everyday bag now and can fit my 13 inch laptop in it for travel to and from work. I have also used it for my carry on for short flights and it carries way more than I though it would; light jacket, book, water bottle, and glasses etc. I also used it as my pack for walking around the Happiest Place on Earth with my family and it housed water and snacks for a full day of walking about.
