I've raced with Challenge tubular tires forever but decided to give these a shot. I can say that they ride very, very similarly to the tubular version. Honestly not sure I could tell the difference if I did a blind test.
Very grippy on grass (wet or dry) and less prone to fold-over like some tubular tires so cornering is very precise.
I did have one get a sidewall puncture from a rock strike that wouldn't seal. I ended up having to use an internal patch and relegate it to a training tire. Otherwise they seem to be fairly durable.
Like others have said these are *extremely* difficult to mount. I bought the Challenge tool and didn't think it was much help. Only way I could mount is using a Tyre Glider. With some patience and effort you can get them on. Overall way easier than gluing up a tubular. Once they're mounted, removing and remounting is WAY easier.

Easily the most versatile cyclocross tire out there, the Grifo performs well in all conditions except for the deepest, slickest mud. An absolute necessity for every cx racer. There's a reason almost every tire manufacturer has copied the tread pattern of the Grifo, it's the best. If you need more traction for steep climbs run the rear tire backwards!

I have the new 38mm Grifo. I would have given it 5 stars but the flat construction makes the mounting a challenge. They do have some info on mounting on their website. Once mounted they are wonderful, supple tubeless tires, they feel like tubulars! But be prepared to be patient and have sore thumbs for a few days.

These are great tires, if you can get them mounted. I've been racing cyclocross for years and have tried numerous tires. This is the first tire I haven't been able to stretch enough to get it on the rim

Fantastic.
Hard to mount.
