I commute often and thought it would be nice to have some of the features this model offers. By taking the buttons off they made it really difficult to access some of the information like total miles. Then I found out it doesn't work with my LED headlight. I worked around this by wrapping the light in foil but seriously - a commuter model that doesn't work next to a headlight? The light is not terribly useful either. It's almost impossible to see the small characters on the display and it shuts off too quickly.

The large face makes this easy to read when light permits, but when it gets dark and you turn the back light on, it is virtually impossible to see the display... that was a total bummer to me because that was the second most important feature besides the thermometer for me.

I'm still happy with what it is and plan on using this on my commuter bike for a long time.

A little bit confusing to set up and access past data, but over all this is a very useful computer. Large reading, current temperature and backlight. Worth every penny.

Coummute 10 miles a day and weekend rides.Works great but it is over done.don't need all the features.The tiny buttons make it really hard to program.After it is set up it is dependable and works like a charm. Maybe they can make the buttins smaller and save some weight.Also print the instructions smaller too.Still can't find how to get to total distance.Those tiny buttons.

Bought this a month ago, being my first cycle computer. Did a lot of research before deciding computer temperature display, large fonts and backlight were what finally made me decide in favour of the Commuter. My experience thus far

1. The installation instructions appeared confucing but in reality it wasn't. Just follow the steps carefully, one by one. Fitting is straightforward.

2. At first I thought my computer was faulty, but on resetting it it started up smoothly. Be patient with setting the initial settings its a bit finnicky but once its done its done.

3. Fantastic product. The backlight makes a real difference in dark areas; I ride very early in the mornings. The temp display is great at least you know you're not shivering for nothing- its really cold out there. The large screen and font make it easy to read the data without having to squint your eyes.

4. No problems with the wireless connection or readings. Very accurate the temp on the computer as well as the distance travelled match exacly the readings on my car.

5. Easy to operate.

You don't have to be a commuter to enjoy the benfits of the product. The computer has everything you'll need speed, distances, temp, time, averages.

Pros -

Can be seen clearly - Large display

Adjustable angle of view

Easy to switch screens with gloves on

Speed and mileage seem to be correct

Cons-

Temperature is way off

Sometimes won't start on it's own

Confusing directions and setup

Every feature of it proved useful except the estimated time of arrival and CO2 saved. I never took the time to learn how to teach it ETA distance it needs to do the calculations. I'll probably use it one day.

I definitely love the back light, especially during winter commuting.

It proves very useful in that at a quick glance, I have the ambient temperature, speed, distance, and current time in one display... almost equivalent to a smartphone on your handlebar.

Being able to set the initial odometer is a plus, since I like to track my miles personally, not just by computer. I didn't want to start at zero again on my current commuter.

Accessing some features like TOTAL odometer require pushing a button on the back... aka you can't check it while riding. You even have to take the computer off its mount to press it.

Overall it's a well thought out computer for us information geeks.
