Review by Shawn MidwestReviewed 1/16/2023by Shawn MidwestMidwest1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Good glovesFirst pair of Castelli gloves. Size is consistent with other brands I've owned. Gell in the palms -near the wrist- exists, but there isn't as much padding as some of my other brands. So far, the padding hasn't been an issue, but I have haven't used the gloves for a 2+ hour ride. Gel in the palm -near the fingers- is pretty thick. They seem well made, fit like I expected and true to size, breathable, and are very comfortable. I recommend them.

Nice featuresI rotate through various cycling gloves, and after use for 1-2 months have found this to be a good, durable (so far) glove with excellent padding and all the features I like:
-tabs that help to put on and remove.
-terry cloth nose wipe on thumb
-velcro closure to help tighten on wrist.
It is a snug glove, so pay very close attention to the manufacturer sizing recommendations for fit, prior to selecting for purchase.

First, on the first ride, a half-century I did today, one of the thumb pads came almost completely unsewn. Secondly and perhaps most importantly, these gloves are horribly uncomfortable. The gel pads are effectively useless because they compress to the point they feel nonexistent and absorb very little road impact. Might as well just ride without them. Lost track of how often my hands went numb wearing these.
I'd say these gloves are grossly overpriced even if they weren't defective, their comfort doesn't remotely justify the cost. I've worn $20 gloves that are more comfortable than these are. For this price I'd expect these to be fantastically comfortable

Review by JessReviewed 11/7/2022by JessCycling EnthusiastNew Braunfels, Texas2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. Why did they have to change it?I've bought several pair of the prior version of this glove. Slip-on (no velcro straps) and they were great. Comfortable, grippy, near perfect. This new pair has been changed to having skinny little velcro strips, which would be fine if they stayed stuck, but they don't, and the glove is now more open than the prior design, assuming the velcro would provide the closure. It does not.

Review by petepravReviewed 10/13/2022by petepravCycling EnthusiastLos Angeles, CASolid glove choiceSolid glove choice, kind of a hybrid between full strapped and strapless gloves. Not terribly difficult to remove (but also not easy), seem to hold up well with the wash and the velcro doesn't seem inclined to stick to everything else in the laundry. I like the look and feel of the gloves and they feel true to size.

Review by JohnbcyclesReviewed 9/12/2022by Johnbcyclesdanbury,CTBest fit, comfort for my handsI have tried many brands and gloves, my fingers would feel like the glove is too small or tight or there was t enough padding where I needed it for my hands to be comfortable for longer rides. This glove has been my solution.

Review by NathanReviewed 10/18/2021by NathanCycling EnthusiastPortland, ORThis is my second pair.I'm on the fence between a medium and a large. The size chart suggested a medium. They are snug at first - but stretch enough when wearing. My first pair worked so well that I bought a second pair.

Review by JhersomReviewed 8/26/2021by JhersomTillamook 2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.Okay gloves but to expensiveI bought these gloves based upon the description hoping it would help with hand fatigue and numbness. I can see how I'm theory these gloves would work, but they didn't for me. Overall, the build quality looks good, but I think the padding could either be a little thicker or denser to really provide benefit.

Review by Gary WaltersReviewed 6/24/2021by Gary WaltersCycling EnthusiastFlorida1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Really nice, stylish and comfortable for the long ride.I really liked these gloves but size up one size. Once they are on they are great but mine are so hard at my normal size to get on that I'm reluctant to wear them especially if I'm going on a ride where we plan on stopping for lunch and need to take the gloves on and off. If I buy them again I will size up. While riding they are awesome. A little too pricy.

Review by NathanReviewed 6/24/2021by NathanCycling EnthusiastPortland, OR1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I'm liking these gloves very muchI always question whether I'm a medium or large in glove sizes. My hands measure to the top end of the mediums based on the size chart. So I chose the mediums. They are snug - especially when new. But, I've had less numbness with these. The seam between thumb and first finger is noticeable when riding on the hoods, but hasn't caused any irritations.

Review by AnonymousReviewed 8/2/2021by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastNYCGreat glovesWhat to say. Everyone has a preference for gloves. I typically only wear gloves in the summer to keep my hands drier from sweat. These are a good all around glove. Nice grip. Reasonably cool.

Review by AnonymousReviewed 9/19/2022by AnonymousPortland ORComfortable and Durable So far so good with these gloves. It has some thick padsing so not everyone will like that. Perfect glove with thicker padding to complement tapered drops on my Pro aero handlebar. They have stood up to the washing machine as well so happy with these gloves... They just work.
