I'm a fan of castelli bike kits, so I'm not really objective.
Last year I got a Castelli body paint bib shorts on sale and liked it a lot. When I saw these on sale, I got them. In terms of fit, Castelli's cut fits my body type. I'm 5'3, short, stocky and 140lbs. Compared to the body paint, I like the fabric straps and higher waist better. One thing I like about Castelli over Pearl Izumi is the lack of leg grippers. For me, it feels more comfortable. I wear a size small. Those with gigantic quads may have a harder time with small compared to other brands, so maybe go up to a medium.

As usual with Castelli the quality is top notch, the included chamois is of a very good quality (the only chamois I really like are assos and castelli), the colors and design is great (At least in the one I bought, the redblackwhite). As for sizing, and as usual in Castelli clothing, you have to move one size up (5' 8. 178lbs and size L is great fit)

I have 2 pairs of these same bibs from years past and just ordered a third. Unfortunately, Castelli has changed the materials a bit since the last time I ordered. The straps are made from some new material that has hardly any stretch-it's also kind of itchy. As a result the straps are way too short for me (I'm 6'2). Otherwise, the bottom part fits fine in an XL. Too bad the straps are so dang short-I really like the older version of these shorts and the costvalue is a bargain for the level of quality you get. I also noticed they changed the chamois from the Kiss 3 to Kiss 3 Air...not sure what the difference is, other than it's got dimples in it like a golf ball. Anyway, sending these back-bummer.

These were my 1st pair of Castelli - could not be happier with them. Used on several long rides and they are great!

This is my second pair and I like the weight, comfortable leg grippers and chamois. The low cut in front helps with belly comfort. The only minor complaint is that for taller riders (and I'm only 6ft) the shoulder straps are a little short when standing.
I don't notice it in the riding position so it doesn't bother me but you should be sure there is enough room for you if you are tall.

Great summer bibs and love the styling. Order the black and white pair, eye-catching. Great pad, very comfortable. Very thin so I will only use them for warm weather rides. Overall very happy with these bibs.

I have 2 pairs of these Castelli bib shorts and I have to say they are awesome. This Kiss3 technology in the chamois is super comfortable and I never feel discomfort on long rides. I've no issues with saddle sores and the quality of the stitching overall is great. Highly recommend these.

Love the leg grippers on this product. Also, the chamois if extremely comfortable. No problem with butt fatigue on long rides. Had them for a month and so far haven't found anything to make me regret buying them.

I got the mediums and feel they fit true to size. I also got the black/white/red as I liked the look. The white in front stained rather quickly so wouldn't recommend the white in either version. The front is cut very low so makes bathroom breaks easy. I'll buy another pair but this time in all black.

I had a few issues with the bib. The rubberized logo patch on the spine really annoyed me and caused an itchy sensation. The white material on the front is very sheer so it will highlight your package much more than you may be comfortable with. The material is great though as it the look of the bib. Can't comment on the comfort of the bib as I sent them back do to the issues above.

I typically where a medium in Capo, Verge, Kraft...Medium worked here too. These shorts fit great. feel great. If I had money burning a hole in my pocket I would buy some more. When you consider what high end shorts cost in other brands the price is competitive.

I've worn these bibs four times now and can say unequivocally that they're the best shorts I've used. Previously, I've worn Pearl Izumi and Performance. While Performance (Ultra) are decent and a good value, and the Pearls (Select) are comfortable and very good, the Castellis combine comfort with exceptional fit. They stretch so effortlessly that you're not aware of them at all. I'll probably order another. Highly recommend if you can afford the price.

I've always been a cycling shorts-type of guy and have resisted going the bibs route because I didn't want anything extra on my back to heat up. I decided to take the plung and thought that I'd score extra some style point with the Castelli's. I am a pretty average size guys, 5'10, 180 lbs and the shorts fit great. The material blend in the shorts offer good muscle support. Most importantly, the bib portion is proportionally cut to size-it allows room for my lungs & diaphram to expand while riding. (I just returned a pair of Pearl shorts that were 3 too high in the bib).
The pad is thick enough for all day riding comfort without feeling like you're wearing a diaper. It's been a cool riding season so far in Wisconsin and I appreciate the extra material uptop with the bibs, not sure how it will be in the heat & humidity of summer. Overall these are great bib shorts-very comfortable.

I have used these bibs for both long (80 mile ) and short (less than 30 mile) rides. They fit well, have a good scoopcut out in front for diaphragmatic breathing, and do not have silicone grippers at your thighs. The pad is sufficient, and the bibs are snug but not binding. The material is supportive but not overly snug. These are my favorite, all-purpose bibs (I've even run in them, but only about a mile).
