I've ridden this jacket on and off about 300 miles since January 30th in Central WI mainly in the mid to upper 30s to as warm as 50F in very windy conditions. It is made of very good materials and does the job of keeping me warm with very good visibility (lime green). I purchased to replace a 2013 Biemme Windstopper Jacket in Blue. While the old jacket worked well down to 40F it just wasn't effective in the 30s and in today's careless driver era, the dark blue color no longer was sufficient to stay visible on our modern distracted driver roadways. In temps in the 30s I wear an Assos under layer paired with a UA thermal running layer. Above 50 I trade this jacket for a thin long sleeve riding jersey and same under layers. I'm 6'1' 175-180 lbs and Size L fits great with the aforementioned under layers. Great investment!

I have been blown away by how warm this piece of gear is. I've worn this jacket in the high 20's to mid 40's, and quite frankly, had to use the zipper to help regulate things when above 40 degrees. I still think Castelli's PERFETTO jacket is the most versatile piece of gear in their line, but when below 40 degrees, this jacket now easily the best choice for the job. Road or gravel, this jacket will fit the need. I am 6'1, 178 lbs, and a large fits great.

The week I got this jacket I had the opportunity to test its windproof claims. Bombing descents at 35+ mph in sub-40F weather and feeling cozy, you love to see it! Fit is trim and athletic, I'd say in line with other Castelli apparel I've worn. Can't speak to the limit of this jacket's water repellence, as I've only worn it in light rain, but it kept me dry in those conditions. Top notch work Castelli!
