Comfortable but size up
Very comfortable for long rides. Of the bibs I've tried, they're only outdone by Assos Mille GTO for comfort, and with a more typical pad thickness. Size up though--I'm XL in most brands, L in Pearl Izumi, XXL in Castelli.

The best cycling shorts I have worn after 20+ years of cycling.
The shorts have the best Castelli pad, but other Castelli shorts do too. What uniquely stands out is the material. It is very light weight, and is very breathable. I can feel the air moving through the shorts keeping me cool. Yes, they are expensive, but the quality of the upgrade makes the premium price worth every penny.
