I purchased this vest in orange specifically for the tour I just completed riding down the Pacific Coast from Seattle to San Diego. I knew I would be wearing darker colored wool shirts/jerseys/sweaters because of the wet and cool temps so I wanted to be visible as possible for the cars. I wore it every day and even though it seems paper thin and weighs almost nothing it added a wind blocking layer when needed. Easy to unzip on the long climbs when it got a little warm and the 3 rear pockets were perfect for my phone and a pair of gloves. I have a size XL and I'm 6'1 and 175lbs. It fits snug around waist and upper arms so no flapping on the downhills. It's a bit pricey but I would say worth it for the quality and functionality.

First ride today with new vest. 56-63 degrees, sunny, windy, with aero jersey and arm warmers on underneath. Ordered L, eventhough Castelli aero jersey is XL. Fit is good without too much wind flap. I'm 6'2", 171lbs, 39 1/2" chest. In a perfect world, a vest between and M and L would be perfect for no wind flap. I think a M would be too tight and restrictive. Oversized zipper like all Castelli gear, with ability to unzip from bottom. As stated in description, the vest does allow some airflow from the front for wicking without sacrificing comfort. Three pockets in back hold plenty. Orange color not the brightest orange, but provides some visiblity. Not the cheapest vest, but BTD had 30% off sale.

With the cold weather we've had here in Florida, I needed something that would get me through the early morning ride starts. This vest works really well and, when the sun comes out and gets warmer it's easy to fold up and put in a back pocket. It also looks pretty good too!
