I swapped out the Selle San Marco saddle that came with my bike for this one that has a little more cushion and a comfort cutout for prostate relief. I am comfortable for the most part and can easily use the toilet after a long ride. It wasn't radically different in shape than the original so I know what I was getting. No real increase in weight.
The price was the best I had seen and it fit my bike and me well. I haven't had a lot of experience with different saddles but it seems to perform well. There are saddles that have bigger pelvic floor cutouts and more interesting shapes (and may be better) but I wasn't certain that they would work well for me. Besides, some are hundreds of dollars more than this one!

Not my favorite but at the price I got it for it was worth the try. Took a little over a week to get broke in and be slightly comfortable. Keep in mind I am a little heavier than most cyclists and only commute to work and back which is only 15.2 miles a day. I am happy enough to keep it on my bike so that must say something.

I have a 1972 Free Spirit bicycle that has gone through countless upgrades (gear cassette, wheels, quill, pedals and lighting) with the exception of the seat. I saw this seat on this website and couldn't believe the price. Bought it, installed it and LOVE it!

Weighs exactly the same as the Selle Italia SL (295 grams) but invests more of the weight into padding while the shell is more supportive than the Selle Italia, whose shell was not stiff enough to disguise the reality of a platform being supported by a seatpost-sized footprint. The pressure in that centralized spot is noticeable and uncomfortable. This shell is stiff enough to not go there despite the split design.
I can't speak for longevity, but this deal can't be beat for comfort, performance (weight) and price.

Replaced the seat on my Trek 6700. The seat is comfortable, sits great and looks even better. Best part is the value. I don't know how long the seat will last, but for the price I can't complain after at least a couple years. Anyways two thumbs up.

This is the second Blackburn Ligera saddle I've purchased this year. I replace a well worn Selle Italia SLR and Max Gel Flow with these two saddles. The Selle Italias weigth in at somewhere between 270-310 grams and cost me about $160 each. The Blackburn weights in at 295grams and cost $25 each. Riding in the drops of my compact handlebar road bikes I can NOT tell the differance between the Blackburn and the Selle Italia. Riding slower in an upright position, the Blackburn fells more comfortable. You can get a very good saddle for the price of some bar tapes.

I purchased this saddle with the intention to improve the comfort of my Genesis road bike. Tried it on a 10-mile trip and then returned it because it was not as comfortable as the OE saddle.

great idea - narrow lightweight saddle with cutout with decent padding and quality - but the back of saddle should have been flat, not rounded. OK for short rides (less than 20 miles) but not for longer rides.

I've owned many saddles of most major brands costing as much $200 over the last 20 years. But for [$] you get a light weight, synthetic cover, titanium rail saddle that is very comfortable. There is also a little surprise in the packaging, the plastic connector is a tire lever. I may buy another for my commuter bike.

I love this saddle. I bought it out of necessity because my old one got stollen, and just as a transition until I get myself better (read more expensive one) one but it turns out that for $25 I got myself a keeper!! The seat is comfortable even though it doesn't seem to be padded too much.

Installed on vintage World Sport. 25 mile rides and just normal wear on rear. For the price you can't beat it. Bikes direct great as always

Quality of the Blackburn name at a fantastic value.

I purchased due to price and discount and that was a mistake. very odd shaped seat for me and not comfortable at all. might be why it was discounted so much.

What great saddle! Comfort and performance wrapped in a bargain price. Took a chance on this saddle, and I am glad I did. Ligera is Spanish for Light. At 295 grams, thanks to titanium rails, the Ligera lives up to its name. Also very comfortable. Cut out in the middle takes pressure of sensitive tissue. I have been rocking much more expensive saddles for a long time (Terry Fly, Selle Italia Gel Flow) and the Blackburn Ligera blows them away at a fraction of the price. I bought a couple more to keep in reserve.

This is a very firm seat-if you are looking for something more comfortable than your current racing saddle, this is no better

A great deal for the price - already have plenty of miles on it. Comfortable and affordable.

Used for commuting with a suspension post. Also did some touring. Recommend padded shorts for longer rides. Kind of heavy for performance riding. Cover is smooth and doesn't impair the pedal stroke. The platform is large providing ample support with rubbing my narrow thighs. No pinching in the cutout region. Despite thick and comfortable cushioning the shell feels very stiff perhaps due to the rear rail attachments that extend forward towards the mid line of the seat. White rails add a touch of class to my bike. On sale it's a decent saddle.
