The adapter compartments in the handle are handy. The valve mechanism is well-made and easy to engage and disengage. It pumps easily and smoothly. The overall construction is quite good, with a sturdy base. And it's a great value. This is a no-brainer for the price.

Having dealt with a handful of second rate pumps that my wife purchased because she didn't like my 30 year old rebuilt Silca, I finally got fed up with them and purchased this one. I am terribly biased toward Blackburn and have never had a bad product from them, so figured this would work well. It has a high volume per stroke and if very stable. The head is the best thing out there. It latches on easily with just a very small protrusion of the stem, so I can continue to use up my short valve tubes without having to pry and poke to get them into the head, and you don't have the problem with the valve seizing up and having to reset the head. In short, it works like it is supposed to work. If you want a good pump at a reasonable price, this is the one.
The earlier comments about the head and blowing air out the Schraeder outlet are completely invalid with the 2011 model. The head had been redesigned with a single opening for presta and Schraeder. They listened to some other comments and provide simple instructions for using it. No problems at all there.

After having two different Blackburn pumps sitting around with broken heads I decided to ship them to Blackburn and see if they would honor their lifetime warranty so I sent them back in a box with a RA just a return address. A few weeks late 2 new pumps show up at the house.

I purchased and returned the first pump as it failed to do it's job and inflate tires. I contacted Blackburn and they have had the heads on backorder for months now so I returned it to biketiresdirect who sent me a replacement Blackburn Airtower 3 floor pump.
I am experiencing the same issue with this pump. When you attach the Presta head to valve and begin pumping the air is blown out thru the Schrader head and not into the tube.
Thinking it may be the valvetubes I am using I replaced them with a different manufacture. Thinking I may beginning to lose it and forgotten how to inflate a tire I asked my neighbor to give it a shot. "What I useless piece of junk" he summoned it very clearly.
I will be returning this "useless piece of junk" back to bike tires direct
