The rear fins on this helmet are the weak link. If you crash, try to land on the front. The retention dial is poor as well. You just can't get that fine tune adjustment. I emailed Bell recently for new inner brow pads. Never heard back from them. For a top notch helmet, try [...].

Bought this helmet on sale. Fits well and light. Would buy it again, although I am not crazy about the color. Like the visor.

This helmet has most of the features and style that the more expensive helmets do but at a much more reasonable price. Plenty of adjustment and lots of vents.

I use the helmet for recreation rides. I like everything about the helmet..A good buy! And I definitely would recommend it to all of my fellow cyclists. It is well-designed and fits very snugly on my head. I like it!

I have a small head and this helmet is among the few that fit, was easy to adjust, my sunglasses would fit over it. I would buy this helmet again with no reservations.

Easy to get a custom fit and cooler to wear on a ride than my previous helmet.

The retention system of this helmet is great. Won't leave indents on your forehead like many other pro helmets. Very light and really pro looking!

I commute so I dont need a full road bike helmet, and I didn't really want to get a mtn bike helmet. However I need a visor and very few road bike helmets have them. I found this Bell Sweep to be a nice, low-profile and sleek helmet that has a detachable visor and can easily be used for road-biking or mtn biking. Fits very comfortably. I tried on other helmets at the bike shop but none fit as good as this Bell. Great helmet, great looking, great fitting and light weight. Has an easily adjustable strap in the back with a dial and tabs to adjust around the ears.

I'm a big fan of Bell helmets, I survived a very serious crash in one of their helmets during a race, and a minor crash in another case when an animal darted under my front wheel, Both helmets were cracked and damaged (as they are designed to do upon impact) and most importantly, I sustained NO head injuries in either case, where there was visible damage to the helmets. Other helmets may work just as well, but I feel loyal to Bell because they've saved my noggin twice! The Sweep is a comfortable fit, very adjustable, and although not super light, light enough to ride many hours in comfort. Every now and then I have needed to make minor adjustments to the straps, but the adjustment mechanism in the back makes it VERY easy to do a quick adjusment to either tighten or loosen while on the fly. Also, BTD is my favorite online site for having items in stock when I usually need them, at very competitive prices.

Went over the handlebars headfirst at 28mph. Helmet cracked on the rear fins, but I didn't realise I had landed on my head until I got back to my car and saw the damage. This helmet fits, is very comfortable and WORKS!! It probably saved my life. Highly recommended.

This is the most comfortable helmet Ive found. Its light weight, plenty of vents, and feels secure on my head, and doesn't feel like its just on top of my head, but actually protecting it. In a crash I had where I went over the bars and landed head first at about 35mph, I destroyed the helmet, but my head was fine, no concussion or any other head injury's to speak of. I definitely put this helmet to the ultimate test, and it passed with flying colors. I wouldnt go with any other helmet between the comfort, style, and the proof that it keeps your head intact after an encounter with the pave.

I had a crash coming off a steep descent so the speed was high. As my bike and I rolled to a complete stop , my helmethead properly fitted using the twin axis gear fit system took a serious hit to the pavement. I was dazed,carbon frame cracked, road rash sure - but my helmet passed a test I hope none of you cycling enthusiast have to go thru.

I have retired that Bell Sweep bc it was cracked & had damage to the back where most of the impact was. I am ordering a new Bell Sweep but the only change will be the color. STRONG RIDING TO ALL

The Bell Sweep has done me well for many years. I wear it when training and racing road, track, cyclocross and mountain bikes, as well as to commute to work or the grocery store. I'm now on my 3rd Sweep, as the first two saved my head from serious injury in two separate crashes.

The adjusting wheel on the back of the helmet allows for easy, one-handed adjustment - great when you need to take off a cycling cap mid-ride. The many vents keep your head cool, and the detachable visor makes the helmet incredibly versatile for all weather and ride conditions.

A must have for the avid cyclist.

The Bell Sweep is very easy to adjust while riding, and fits my head like a glove. After a short distance I actually can't even tell that it's there. It's simply the perfect one for me,and I recommend anyone try it.

My Sweeps (I have 2) have averaged 505 miles a week for 2012. The webbing cleans easily - appears to be more tightly made - less space for dirt and stink. Sweat pads remove easily and clean cleanly. Airflow is great, FLorida is hot and these are cool!

It can happen to any of us. I was riding down a relatively quiet street when a car coming the other direction turned right in front of me. Despite trying to brake and swerve to avoid the car, I ended up hitting the front fender and launching head first into the car's windshield. The windshield was badly cracked as was my Bell Sweep Helmet, but other than some minor bruises, I was ok.

This helmet has been replaced with a new one and needless to say I won't ride anywhere without it. Keep the rubber side down.

use my helmet when I ride,easy to adjust fit ,visor provides some eye shade, feels secure on head. padding easy to remove clean by rinsing .
