First, the sizing. I'm 5'8" and 155'lbs and size Large fits like a glove. Perfectly comfortable with the right compression in the right places without feeling restrictive. Super comfortable chamois for long distances.
Next, I have always avoided Assos due to the cost. But after buying these, they will be my go-to option if I can justify the cost. I was primarily shocked / impressed by how much "front coverage" there was with the chamois. For some reason, manufactures tend to end their chamois in a position that is not quite long enough to "completely cover" your front anatomy. These were over and above where I feel completely covered and don't feel like I'm half hanging out of my chamois. With many of the other manufactures I own (Pearl Izumi PRO, Castelli, Giro, etc), I feel partly "exposed" due to the place the chamois end. But even though it sounds dumb, these feel more like full coverage as in a good pair of underwear without feeling like you're wearing a diaper.
I wore these on a century ride paired with Castelli Pro Seamless Leg Warmers in conditions that started at low 50's and rainy and changed to low 60's / sunny and then back to rainy / windy / 50's. They worked flawlessly and did a great job of keeping me dry / wet considering the rainy / cold conditions. The chamois was plenty comfortable and caused no chaffing / irritation. Even with the rain, they were water repellent to the point that I didn't really notice any significant discomfort from the rain we encountered.
If Assos' other garments are this good, then I will gladly look for opportunities to spend the extra $$$ to buy theirs if possible. I don't want to overspend but subtle comfort and quality differences make it much easier to justify spending a little more for better products!
I decided to step up to this product line to see if there was a difference. They are very comfortable, chamois has a unique quality and comfort. Sizing for me here in the US was tricky. Assos actually recommended I downsize but I went with my usual large. The knicker itself is a great fit but the suspenders could be longer and have a tight feeling yet I'm not very tall; 5'7". Next time I may try ex large.
I am happy with this purchase and would buy from this maker again! Of course the price at BTD is always a good value.
This was my first pair of Assos gear and I have to say that I was not disappointed. They are very comfortable for fall days on the bike when you want your knees covered without having to wear knee warmers. In fact, the chamois is so comfortable I just ordered a pair of their Mille bib shorts for warmer weather. Time will tell but the fabric seems very durable and they seem to be well made. I hope to get several seasons of wear out of these!
Riding for over 30 years (many centuries, numerous double centuries, Everest Challenge finisher) and have tried many brands of ride shorts and knickers, and I always return to Assos for the fit, comfort and quality. The Mille GT Spring/Fall knickers are my preferred shorts when the weather is cold or slightly chilly. I wear a size medium at 5'8" and 165 lbs. I always have two pair in my closet in case I ride back-to-back days!

Assos size has changed some. Im 63 and 220 lbs and XL fits me well it used to be XLG or TIR in Assos but now the XL is good. They are warm and it will update once I get to use them for a while but a crash has me out of commission for ride till mid December.
Great bib for spring and fall temps..or winter here in Florida.
Assos quality cannont be beat - absolutely the finest available. Worth the higher price for sure. Assos has become my only cycle wear year round.
I used Assos bib knickers and bib shorts for over 20 years. Whenever I try a competitors brand they don't live up to the satisfaction of Assos shorts. The fit and chamois are the best, and these Mille GT Spring/Fall knickers are no different. Comfortable material and they keep you warm in the cooler weather.
These provide just the right amount of warmth of your legs and knees. But - for some reason the chamois wants to climb up my butt - and the bottom of the legs tries to work its way to the bottom of my knees vs. staying down the legs a bit. I love Assos bibs - can't tell you I love this Assos product.
Assos is my go-to brand for cycling shorts and now for knickers. I cycle about 5x/week for 3+ hours at a time and the Assos products always provide much more comfort than some other brands I have tried (e.g. Gore, Pearl Izumi). Weather-wise, I use the knickers in weather below 50 degrees F and in rain. As noted by other reviewers, the knickers did ride up a bit in the calf but nothing too annoying - I find bib tights a little to restrictive in the ankle area so this is a small tradeoff for me.
