The new chamois (black) seems more robust than the previous one (blue) and is more comfortable for me on long rides (70-100 miles). It took a couple of rides to appreciate that. Initially, it seemed to retain more water than the other did after washing, so took longer to dry, but I increased the spin on the wash cycle from medium (for delicates) to med-high which helped a lot. The construction is, of course, top notch, and the fit is good. I would buy again without a doubt.
