Two Powerful Tires For Trail, Enduro, Or Gravity Riders
Unwavering traction in every corner of the world, the WTB Vigilante 29" Mountain Bike Tire is the premier choice for aggressive trail and enduro riders. It grips at lean angles like nobody's business and is the tire of choice for our entire team of ripping enduro athletes who need a tire that won't let them down while chasing podiums. With two different sizes — 2.3" or 2.5" — you're sure to find the ultimate tire, no matter your bike's setup.
The 29" by 2.3" tire relies on a compound of Gravity DNA teams up with a single-ply 60 TPI casting for construction you won't soon forget. This TCS Light/High Grip tire is perfect for the trail, with well-spaced lugs that dig in deep to any terrain. This means you don't have to rely on the perfect trail, as the Vigilante can easily power through dirt, loose, rocky, and wet conditions with ease. With a durable weight of 947 grams, the 29" by 2.3" can power through the trails without so much as a second glance.
The 29" by 2.5" tire features TriTec Compound, which utilizes three rubber compounds to provide different levels of traction, support, and durability based on their placement within the tread. The entire tread pattern is supported by a base of high durometer rubber, which also transitions halfway into the height of the knobs and allows for the use of softer knob compounds without the tire folding due to cornering forces. A weight of 1242 grams allows you to push through wet and dry trail conditions without any regrets.
Prominent lugs dig into any terrain, wet or dry, while providing stability at any speed
Ample spacing between knobs ensures it flings mud while biting into loose, chunky trails
Often used as an aggressive front tire, though it also works well as a rear tire on loose, steep terrain
Proven performance as WTB's most popular mountain tire
Square-lugged knobs deliver unwavering traction, yet with added height to ensure they dig even deeper into loose, unpredictable terrain
Updated siping arrangement places emphasis on cornering forces, while the larger knobs don't discriminate against shamelessly forceful cornering or reckless braking
Increased circumferential spacing allows the tread to remain clear in sloppy conditions, while still keeping the casing protected from spiteful rocks
