Description
Vittoria Barzo G2.0 TLR 29 Inch MTB Tire
Riding technical XC? The Barzo is the choice of the 2015 World Champion, as well as the winner of the BC Bike Race. How can such an aggressive XC tire roll so fast? The magic starts in the center tread, where we place an alternating ridge design, and progressive sipe angles. Cornering duties are handled by the moto-style block knobs, laid out in a proven V-formation. The result is a tire that corners as fast as it rolls, while still offering the protection of a full depth tread. Rocks and roots? Check. World Championship? Check.

Reviews
These Vittoria Barzos came mounted on a new BMC Twostroke 01 I purchased right at the beginning of the year. I am running the 29x2.25 size, and they are impressive in both performance and in looks. They have been holding solid traction in fast runs of shallow creeks, hero-dirt, mud, and naturally-broken-rock like a charm. They grip well in steep 12% inclines where you have to stay on your seat for traction no matter what tire you're running. There have been a few times when I thought I was going to lose it for sure, but these beauties held fast, and I have been impressed. I have previously run Maxxis and Schwalbe MTB tires which were good also, but I am going back to these exact models when the time comes.
Measures 2.1 when mounted on my 25mm internal width DT Swiss Rim. Kind of sad because I wanted to run a larger volume tire upfront on my rigid bike for better traction and cushion. I replaced a Race King 2.25 with this tire and now I have a narrower tire upfront. Dang.
