Lighter, Simpler, And Ready To Help Get 12-Speed Gearing On Any Bike
Prestacycle UniBlock PRO12 Speed Cassettes are a single-piece unit exquisitely machined from a solid block of cold-forged Chrome Molybdenum alloy steel, then heat-treated, tumble-finished and electroplated for added durability and low-friction operation. They last longer than standard steel cassettes.
Single block design allows Prestacycle to remove more unnecessary material, making our cassettes lighter than even top manufacturer models that use fast-wearing aluminum big cogs. Without spacers, there is nothing to lose. Faster cleaning on and off the bike, with quicker, mistake-free installation ensures you are ready-to-go!
The Prestacycle UniBlock PRO 12 speed cassette is designed for use with HG12 and HG11 freehub bodies.
Features:
- Shimano/Sram HG11 and HG12 Freehub compatibility
- Maximum Life
- Ultra-Light
- Easier to Clean

Reviews
This is a great idea and saves a lot of weight but the shifting performance is not there, whatever time I hoped to save with dropping weight was lost tenfold with poor shifting. I spent hours trying to get this working with Ultegra 12spd but I had to choose between having the high or low end of the cassette not shifting correctly, this usually points to a bent derailleur hanger but I checked it twice and it was straight. I own a Park Tool DAG-2.2 and consider myself to be a competent home mechanic. My chain (Ultegra 12spd) only had a few hundred miles on it so I highly doubt that was the issue. I may have gotten a defective one but looking at this cassette next to Shimano's it's obvious the there is far more tooth profiling done on the Shimano, while I wouldn't expect Prestacycle (or Edco?) to be able to copy it completely I would expect more effort to be put into the design so it will work better with the Shimano chain especially given how much they are charging for this cassette. Eventually I gave up and put the Ultegra cassette back on my bike and the shifting has been perfect as expected. Also considering that saving weight near the axle is far less noticeable than saving it near the rim I won't be buying this one again, I would suggest spending the extra money on the Dura Ace cassette if you really want to save weight wherever possible.
I swap out my shimano for a bigger gear to help me on those hills. My bike mechanic did this for me and was glad. My pinerello F has di2 and the micro adjustment was very important for smooth gear changes at different spots.
The cassette works as Intended and my hills become just a little bit easier until my friends picked steeper and longer hills to climb. Ah life with good bike buddies..lol
Purchased as a way to convert my Saris Hammer trainer to 12 speed. Advantages - fits the 11 speed freehub on the trainer, significant savings compared to Dura Ace, and was available. Downside - shifting, especially at either end of the cassette, leaves a lot to be desired. Tolerable on the trainer, but I wouldn't want to ride it on the road.
