Seriously Fast. Seriously Tough.
The Scorpion Trail M is the best choice for trail riding where terrain can vary but speed is still the key factor. Their medium-profile tread pattern is ideal for maintaining high speeds but also traveling confidently over a variety of terrains.
Pirelli classifies the Scorpion M as their MTB all-rounder. It's designed to work across mixed conditions, from hard-to-soft, and dry-to-wet. If you are going out on a multi-day epic where trail conditions are unknown, or you prefer to have a do-it-all tire on your MTB, The Scorpion M is the tire for you.
For the racer types out there, this tire would be a perfect front tire option if combined with the Scorpion Trail H, which is a faster tire designed for hardpack, or the Scorpion Trail R, which carries a more aggressive tread but still rolls fast. It is important to have a tire with a little more bite in the front for loose corners, while the back tire should have less rolling resistance.
The Pirelli Scorpion MTB range was born from Pirelli's experience and know-how in the world of off-road competitions. Rally and motocross are an integral part of their DNA and became the starting point for the research and development that culminated with the Scorpion MTB. The shape of the knobs was based on the experience and technology behind the Scorpion MX range, which has been used on every motocross and supercross race circuit in the world, winning more than 65 world titles.

Not bad at all
Bought the 2.4in they actually measure out to 2.35. Great grip on hardpack. Nice cornering. A little slippage when climbing wet hills but on dry the bite nice. They actually shed dirt and mud real well. On pavement they are very sluggish. If your going to ride 50% trail and pavement these tires are not good for that. Awesome on the trail otherwise.
