Reviews
The price of this tire cannot be beat when purchased from BTD, the cost is less than other brands with similar ratings. The 5mm tread dept is great for protecting from punctures caused by goat heads in the SW USA.
We put the Michelin Protek Max 700c x 35 tires on our two hybrid bikes that we ride about 50 miles a week on paved bike trails. They roll with very little resistance and are very quiet and comfortable. We have several hundred miles on them and really like their dry pavement performance. I can't tell how they are in wet since we avoid wet conditions. They are substantially less cost than the Schwalbe or Continental tires we previously used but, seem just as good for much less. We recommend this tire, and it is a great value.
I bought these for my Urtopia ebike and they are really goat head proof for riding in New Mexico. I bought 700x35 so far I have about 500 miles on them with zero flats. They cost quite a bit less than a similar Continental tire and worth every penny when purchased from BTD.
I got these to replace tires on a used Trek 7.7 FX that we're worn. These hold the road when going onto the shoulder, don't get flats, and ride comfortably. I ride for exercise and to stay in shape, so these are perfect for my needs. I'm 77 years old, so I'm not into racing, but. I enjoy putting the miles on with this bike/tire combination. The best part is not having to patch tires on the side of the road, or walk the bike home here in Southern CA busy roads! On sale, these tires are a great value, too.
Bought these on sale to add a little more road friendly use to my cyclocross bike. These are a solid tire, meaning that I don't sweat the occasional gravel patch, pot hole or piece of glass, of which there are plenty of during spring in Colorado. This ability to give a lower priority to road conditions comes at a price. Not $ but weight, at 850g each the penalty shows up in the wheels. Currently have about 200mi on them and they show little in way of wear and cuts.
I replaced Bontrager H5 700x45 with these in 700x38 on a Trek Verve+2 e-bike. The bike literally took off!! And, no compromise in ride! 700x38 is the smallest width my Trek bike shop said I could go. They fit perfectly and have superb flat protection.
Smooth rolling, Bump absorbing, very solid and stable feel compared to the Oem bontragers. Much heavier than the old tires but the improvement In the ride quality Is worth it.
