Endurance-Level Comfort For Every Ride
When it comes to the best-of-the-best in cycling apparel, be sure to not overlook the Castelli Endurance 3 Bibshort for men. The main story of this short is the use of Castelli's renowned top-of-the-line Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad in an otherwise traditional short. But in fact, every little detail has been obsessed over to ensure your comfort on your next long endurance ride.
The seams of the chamois pad are placed around the hip area to create a perfect shape on the bike. The Endurance Evolution fabric has a soft hand while providing good compression and excellent moisture management. And it's all held in place with the amazingly comfortable GIRO3 leg gripper.
This short offers exceptional value and is ready to deliver lasting comfort on your longest rides. Weighing in at an impressive 186 grams, the Castelli Men's Endurance 3 Bibshort is prepared to rock the world of cycling. With an anatomic fit that is perfect for your biking stance, the Endurance 3 makes any mountain more fun.

Reviews
I had higher expectations of these bib shorts based on reviews, but overall found these mediocre. The straps on these leave a huge amount to be desired, given that even if you size up for being taller, they are too tight and roll annoyingly/constantly while riding, which either causes uncomfortable shoulder tightness and compression, or lots of fiddling and adjustment.
Fit and compression is good when sizing up, making for good riding muscle support without fabric migration, esp. in the butt area. Unfortunately as touted as this chamois pad is supposed to be, I didn't find it great, just OK. It compressed too much over 30+ miles for me to agree it's a top-tier one as described.
Can't speak to durability because of the four shorts I bought, I returned the three I didn't wear and likely won't be wearing the ones I couldn't return.
Im 511, 215-220lbs, I wear pants with 36 waste. I wear XL in ASSOS, LG and Pearl Izumi bibs. I checked the sizing chart for these bibs and other peoples comments so I purchased an XXL Endurance 3 Bibshort. Tried them on before riding, they were tight but I thought theyd work. Man was I wrong, I went out for a 50 mile ride, chamois was nice but things were to snug around the man parts. Straps were tight and didnt lay flat. Now that Ive ridden in them, guess Im stuck with them. Rolled the dice on these, should of put the money towards another pair of ASSOS bibs. Hope this review helps the next person.
Good sizing - 6ft 150, got a large (long version) and am very happy with the fit. Worn twice so far, each was a 3+ hr ride. No soreness, no chamois creme needed. You get what you pay for regarding quality, and these shorts are a perfect example. Worth every penny!
The construction of the shorts is very good, and I love the chamois, which is the best I've tried. The material feels and looks expensive. However, I can't wear these bibs on anything but short rides. I sized up and bought XL, just as I did with another Castelli bib that fits. They were too small, so I returned them and bought XXL. That alone is strange because I use large with other products, and even medium with some manufacturers. The issue was first, the tightness of the straps. I'm 189cm (6'3"), and XXL is still a little too tight with the shoulder straps. The second issue is that the material doesn't stretch much, and I have sprinter thighs, so where other bibs stretch to accommodate, these don't and they bind in places. I could have sized up to 3XL, but then they'd be too big in places.
I think if you're smaller, and you have thinner legs, these could be perfect, but they won't stretch to fit you.
These are solid bib shorts, well-made, low profile and comfortable. Sizing: I am 5'8", 150 lbs, 31" waist, and I wear Large Castelli bibs and Medium Castelli jerseys. The Large in these shorts is very snug on me, and an XL probably would have fit too. That said, they're very comfortable on the bike, and the chamois is excellent. The fabric is a bit stiff compared to other Castelli shorts I own, but they feel like they'll last forever. I like the minimal branding, too.
Great bib and the Progetto X2 seat pad is the best ever. I really like the Kiss 2 seat pad but this one works even better for me. Rode 80 miles today and was so comfortable at the end of the ride that I ordered another pair. Give this bib a try as I feel you'll find it exceptional in every way.
Before picking up my first pair of Castelli bibs, I mainly wore PZ shorts. The Competizione bibs were a night and day improvement over the PZ chamois and I was never looking back. When I first got the Endurance bibs, I was a little disappointed comparing them to the Competiziones. The material is thinner with no texture and the grippers did not feel as robust. However, the chamois was clearly different so I decided to give them a try. Boy was I wrong with expectations. First off, the chamois is much improved which I did not know was even possible. I literally do not even know the bike is there. Secondly, the grippers and material somehow offer more support while breathing better at the same time. These are my new go to bibs for longer rides and literally cannot wait to put them on.
I ride a minimum of 5 days a week, 12+ hours. I have found these bibs to be durable and comfortable. I have done short races in them and long endurance events. They have become my "go to" bibs.
The quality is excellent, and each part of the fabric is perfectly contoured to fit. The chamois is a step up from the one in my older pair of Castelli bibs. It's super light and minimalist.
Castelli sizing, however, makes no sense. I wear a large in everything, so I ordered an XL, knowing Castelli runs small. My other set of Castelli bibs is XL. I tried these on and could barely squeeze into them, so I had to exchange them for XXL. It's hard to buy Castelli because the sizing isn't consistent.
I'm not sure how to rate this. Quality seems very high, and the padding is very comfortable, but the information about sizing is sooo wrong that I think it's really problematic. Using their size chart, I'm on the small side of medium, so after reading these reviews I ordered a large. I'm hoping it'll loosen up, but it's really too snug. Feel pretty confident an XL would have been more my size. Only on planet Castelli am I an XL. (And I get that I could have ordered both L and XL, or returned the L, but that seems like it puts Castelli's misinformation on BTD to sort out. That doesn't seem equitable either.). Alas.
I have 4 of these in total I think and will be getting more to keep for backup. They are so comfortable. I tried a lot of bibs on here, and these and these are one of my favorites for long rides.
I am a loyal Castelli wearer. I decided to upgrade from the endurance 2. Just a few rides but I like the fit, the chamois seems a tad more comfortable. I cant wait to put in some long rides to check the endurance label
The chamois on these are the perfect thickness. Not too thick that makes you move around and not too thin to make a long ride difficult. The chamois is also so good that I only need chamois cream on very long rides. The silicone grippers are also fantastic and never slip. I'm 6' 190 and these are XL which fit perfectly. Everything about these are great.
I have been riding Castelli bibs for the last 8 years, and I am extremely happy of that last 2 I ordered and used for Unbound gravel.
Very comfortable, maybe on the heavy side but no butt pain after 14h on the bike.
I already had the Endurance 2 and as far as I can tell the Endurance 3 is the same. Fits perfectly but there's not a lot of padding in the seat. Not really a problem for me - just comparing it to other shorts I have. Workmanship is excellent.
