I ride multiple tubular and clincher wheelsets with a variety of tires -t mostly Vittoria or Veloflex. This SC Vitt. tire I just recently tried and am really impressed with the ride quality! I put them on my Fulcrum 3 Racing wheelset with Vittoria Latex tubes. That combination gives a tubular swish sound and feels like a really nice tubular tire. The tire has a unique tread and feels confident in the turns. For me it's all about the feel - and having ridden tubulars for over 40 years this is by far the closest thing I have found.

I use this tire as a lightweight rear tire when paired with Vittoria's Open Corsa CX III in the front. I like having a slightly wider tire on the rear for a bit more comfort. It handles well in wet or dry. The price is reasonable for a race tire, although I don't race and tend to use it on lightweight climbing wheels or for fast rides on clean roads.

I have been using Vittoria Open Corsa CX tires for at least eight years and before that used the CX tubular model. The Open Corsa SR Clincher Tires ride is as close to the tubulars as I can remember. I am a heavier rider (185 lbs) and they provide a great ride and responsiveness, great traction on wet roads and do a great job of absorbing road shock. The bigger casing provides good pinch flat protection. I race with them on the front and rear and rotate them when they start to wear to the front of my commuter and training bikes. I generally get over 4000 miles of wear out of them before a cut (which cannot be repaired with an inside patch) does the tire in in. Overall they are a great tire with great responsiveness that also make a wonderful sound on pavement that makes a great ride even better.

These are by far the best tires I have ever used on my time trial bike. I paired them up with the Vittoria latex tubes and it is an unbelievable combination. The ride is so smooth, fast and they fit Zipp firecest rims perfectly. I have been a conti man for many years now, but these tires are by far the best tire I have used to date. I will add that if you want a bullet proof trainig tire these are not it, but if you want ride quality look no further. These were marked down so low I bought an extra just in case of wear or puncture and I'm glad I did because these are by far the best value in clinchers that I have found.

I have been using Vittoria Open Corsa Cx tires for the past five years. The tires were great but I usually would only get about 800-1000 miles on the rear tire and 1000-1500 miles on the front tire. The ride was good but the traction on wet roads was limited. The new tread design on the SR has great traction on all road surfaces and I the rear tire was changed at 1300 miles. The 700 X 24 size also worked well on my Zipp 202 Firecrest wheels. This tire is highly recommended.
