Review by AnonymousReviewed 11/6/2015by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastLibbertyville, ILVery Good TireThis is a very good open tubular style tire. The tread has good grip with very good rolling resistance. I run both front & rear at 8 bar and they are very comfortable tires. The bead is also very pronounced so you don't have to worry about them rolling off like some Vittoria's I've owned. This is not a high mileage tire so rotating them every 300 miles or so will help to ensure even wear for the set.

Review by yellowS2kturboReviewed 10/29/2015by yellowS2kturboCycling EnthusiastVancouver, WABest clincher tires These tires are super grippy in all kinds of weather and are so smooth when rolling on nice road surface. Not only do they perform fantastic on cornering they look great too, being designed in Italy so the quality is top notch! Keep them well inflated and they will perform faultlessly. Best clincher tires I ever had period.

Review by VulgarCyclistReviewed 9/8/2015by VulgarCyclistCycling EnthusiastOrlando, FL4 of 9 customers found this review helpful.Three flats in under 200 milesI ride about 100 to 150 miles a week, on average, at about 20-22mph. The previous tires I had on my bike for about five months, and put roughly 2500-3000 miles on them with only one flat. The first ride out on these tires felt great, super comfy feel, really grippy. The next day I went to go on an 80 mile ride, and had a flat at around mile 70. I found the culprit, a small shard of metal, changed out the tube and figured it was just an unlucky hiccup. Over the next week and a half I rode maybe six or seven times, and two of those times I ended up with flats. I'm very careful when changing tubes, and each time was able to find and remove the debris that caused the puncture. I guess from a riding standpoint these are great tires, but they attract and pick up road debris like a magnet. If you're only going to be on a track, these would probably be great tires, but for on a road they are a disappointment and inconvenience at best.

This is my first experience with the Veloflex Corsa and they are very good tires in the open tubular style. Very supple at 320 tpi and running them at 7.5 bar front 8 bar. The rear proves to be a comfortable setup on my CAAD10, and may be even better paired with my carbon MASI. If you can catch them on sale they are a no brainer and well worth the expense at regular price. As far as them being as comfortable as a sew-up, well that is subjective at best. They are one of the best clinchers I have ridden and they do have a well defined bead. Just make sure you pair them with the recommended rim width. Mounting was not difficult. Tire width is on the smaller side. The 25's appear to be around 24c. It would be great if they came in 27 or 28's. Well made, high quality Italian made tire vs. Taiwan made Vittoria's.

Review by TucsonriderReviewed 5/5/2015by TucsonriderCycling EnthusiastTucson, AZ4 of 4 customers found this review helpful.Great tire for racing or trainingI usually ride Conti 4000s, but wanted to try something more supple. I've only put about 600 miles on this tire, but I've taken it over some bad chip seal, big potholes and recently stripped road that was left to gravel. Haven't had a single flat! Really grippy rubber on some of the hairiest switchback descents I've ever done. Pricey, but worth every penny so far.

The roll with 340 TPI is like a tubular (low rolling resistance) which I used to ride before a former pro turned me on to the Veloflex. Cornering is great, with good grip and stability. I have test corners on my regular route to test other brands as well but I still stick with the Veloflex Corsa. They are a very fast tire. Mileage is not outstanding but I don't place that high on my list, performance first. Latex tubes are a must to get the total package and the feel.
I weigh 170 and run 120 P.S.I. My daily wheels are Easton EA90 SLX

These replace Vittoria Corsa as the gold standard clincher tire. Best all-weather, all-condition tire I've ridden on. They come at a bit of a premium but if you're looking for the most supple clincher with optimal traction on all surfaces wet or dry, this is the tire. The 25c size looks more like a big 23c compared to a Vredestein 25, but you still get the benefit of the better contact patch over the 23c size.

Review by RealKarlReviewed 6/19/2014by RealKarlCycling Enthusiast3 of 3 customers found this review helpful.Best tire I have ownedI used to think tires did not matter much, but have finally learned how much a good tire can improve the ride quality. I got these Veloflex Corsas in black. (I also used to like colored tires, no more of that!)
What struck me when I unwrapped them, is how incredibly soft and supple the tires are. They installed without problems on my Dura-Ace WH-7900 C24 wheels, and I have been riding for around 1000km now. The ride quality is great, and they roll so silently. No punctures or significant wear on either tire yet.
I will not be penny-pinching on tires from now. Not even on my commuter ride once its current tires need replacing.

Longevity and susceptibility to cuts from glass and other road debris are less than desirable.

Review by AnonymousReviewed 3/14/2014by Anonymous2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.Veloflex Clinchers Excellent Tires.I had the Veloflex recommended to me back in 2001 by a former Euro pro and have been on them ever since. Prior to that I had been riding tubular. This is it for clinchers, the closest to a tubular ride and handling. Low rolling resistance at 320 TPI, smooth and great grip. The tires are quite light and wear out sooner than others but for me the performance is worth it. BTW, I'm 170 and currently use Easton EA90 SLX wheels which for not costing a fortune is a very nice training combination. I use the Corsa 22 with latex tubes, I inflate 120 PSI front and rear before every ride. I gave four stars for value only because of the lifespan of the tread.

Review by AnonymousReviewed 11/8/2018by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastNew Jersey Noticeably better ride qualityExcellent tire upgrade. Ride is noticeably softer and more grippy than my Continental GP 4000 S. Seem to roll just as well. No flats in more than a year. They are pricey.

They have absolutely the best ride, very smooth unlike any other. Compared to when I first started riding them around 2005, they are now more puncture resistant too.

Review by Island RiderReviewed 11/9/2017by Island RiderCycling EnthusiastLong Island NYA Great Riding TireI've read about Veloflex tires for quite a while. This is the first time that I've ridden the tire. It definitely rides as well if not better than the Conti 4000S, Schwalbe One and Vittoria Open Corsa. No comments yet on durability. The tire was easy to mount.

Review by AnonymousReviewed 10/13/2017by AnonymousTwin Cities, MinnesotaGood looks, supple rideThis is my second season riding on the Veloflex Corsa clincher tires. I really like the look and feel of these tires below me as I peddle the streets and trails around Minnesota. They feel stable on the straights, handling different pavement types and conditions quite well. I have the confidence to dive into corners at speed and these tires have performed well in both good and inclement weather. They seem to wear about the same as the Conti's I replaced these for, and my only reason for knocking off one star on my rating is due to the fact that the tread seems susceptible to nicks and cuts much easier than other tires I've ran previously.
