This vest blocks the cold from my neck and chest but allows enough ventilation to not overheat, like a full jacket might. It is lightweight and easy to ball up and stash. It is cut to fit perfectly, with a longer backside and has a nifty pocket in the back. I bought this vest to complement a carefully thought out set of clothing for relatively cool to cold weather riding and racing. I wanted to be able to keep a warm core without overheating and easily be able to shed and stash outer wear. I wear the Pearl Izumi base layer short sleeve shirt, Pearl Izumi thermal arm warmers, a standard jersey and this vest to accomplish that.

Nice vest. Cuts wind and breathes well. Sizes out kinda small, but if you're in good biking shape it fits well. Also very comfortable.

I got this on sale, so am rating it as a good deal. I've only had the chance to wear it a few times, but have been really happy with it. I carried it in my jersey pocket to the top of Hurricane, and was REALLY happy I had it on the way down. I ordered the same size as I would for a typical Pearl Izumi jersey and it fits great - no excess flapping at speed.

The vest fits me very well. It provides a quick and easy barrier from the cold and wind. It tucks away quickly and doesn't take up much room.

I had already bought a black vest some time ago so I was already sold on this product. I am now matching alot better with the black and white version. I am 6'2 and around a 42 inch chest and I got the medium, which fits perfectly. I like the sizing of the product, it pack great and looks really good. I love it.

Bought this vest on sale 49.99. Maybe the best item i purchased this spring. No air penetration and with the arm warmers, covers most riding conditions. Great vest!

Not warm enough for very cold or water-proof.

Good vest/shell for those cold mornings that turn into a warm day. Very foldable, and nice barrier in front, good venting in back.

I purchased this vest to replace another PI vest I had gotten a number of years ago as my go to vest for cooler weather. There are a number of improvements included in this vest that made the upgrade well worth the money including longer length, a single zip pocket in back and better designed zip upneck line to name a few. The form has been changed to fit function a bit better where the rear vents are concerned, it vents very well to keep you comfortable. The one feature I really like is the vest is long and sized enough to cover the back of your jersey pockets even when loaded with arm warmers, food, etc without binding and more importantly to keep your lower back warm.

Lightweight and true to size

I USE IT DURING EARLY MORNING RIDE AND WHEN THE WEATHER IS TOO COLD. ITS GREAT COLD WIND REFLECTOR.

The vest fits well, blocks wind and yet breathes easily. The size large fits well as I am 6' and 185 pounds. Arm holes are just a tad snug, but otherwise it's a perfect addition to my cycling wardrobe.
