Super bag that stays on when it should and comes off when you want.

My old bag was always slipping off and getting in the way, but when you wanted to take it off it was a real process. This bag is well designed for size, closure and attachment while also having good looks.

Thank you for your feedback.

Excellent bag. Holds a bunch.

These bags come in 3 sizes- 4 if you include the micro. I bought the medium. I have a micro. Good option. Small wouldn't have been much difference from the micro, and large is huge. I can fit a lot in here. The downside is that my legs sometimes rub against it, as it is wide. It has the bolt on mount with quick release, and also a velcro strap around the seatpost. Holds firm.

Thank you for your feedback.

Expandable seat bag that can handle spare clothing

Great place to stow a jacket or vest after it warms up.

I like the idea of a roll-up closure to keep the bag smaller when not full. But I do have a little bit of a problem trying to roll it up and stuff inside getting caught up in the roll. I actually cut a small piece of plastic which I keep inside to hold stuff out of the way as I roll it up works great.

Thank you for your feedback.

Well constructed, light and large

I ordered this bag to be my around town bag for a gravel commuter rando bike and I wanted something large enough for a couple of 650b x 47 tubes and all the tools necessary for a serious adventure. This bag fits the bill pretty nicely, It is roomy, light and mounts extremely securely. In use so far it is quite waterproof and seems very well made. My only caution is that the nose of this bag is fairly wide and square which unfortunately means I regularly have thigh rub. This will depend on seating position and body geometry, so It is well worth a trial fitting (you can fiddle with the seat rail attachment point a bit to minimize this).

Final verdict is that this is a very nice bag, well made and attractive. My only niggle is that the nose could stand to be 12 to 1 narrower, but that may not affect all users.

Perfect Size

Holds plenty without being too cumbersome. Tried the relevate brand - too bulky and awkward. Use it on my gravel bike - nice to have the extra room for clothing etc.

Roomy and great for hauling and stashing gear on longer day rides.

Got specifically to de century rides where I haul my own nutrition and often have to lose a jacket, leg and arm warmers etc during a ride. Added advantage it's waterproof when the ride turns wet.

Thank you for your feedback.

Bag is great except one thing to make this make a five star

The only complaint is that if bag is full can't sealed it. They need to seal with zipper or Velcro to have a secure bag while cycling.

Not the most stylish, but a great bag.

As others have noted, these are big bags. I used the large size to carry the following on a century last weekend (as it warmed up, I was removing layers) jacket, arm & knee warmers, liner gloves, beanie, two tubes, two CO2 cartridges & inflator, tire irons, patch kit, multi-tool, torque key for carbon bars. Simple mounting to saddle, very easy to get into to addremove stuff during the ride. Note that there are no dividers inside, I pack my tools in a padded mailing envelope so they don't rattle. Much easier to access than the usual small zipper bag. I will probably purchase at least one more.

Thank you for your feedback.

under seat bag-lightweight, no rack necessary, wateproof, and collapseable

this is a second for me for another bike. i bought one years ago and am still using it. it is lightweight, completely waterproof, does not need any sort of rack (making it even more light weight), and expands and collapses. wonderful

Utilitarian, waterproof, spacious, sturdy bag

I am satisfied with my purchase of the Ortlieb saddle bag. I bought the large size because I wanted to have the option of carrying a lot of items on longer rides. There was some initial difficulty and confusion getting it installed - the release mechanism was not something I was familiar with. It is study and well made. The fact that it is waterproof was a major selling point to me. I have gotten caught out in the rain on a ride previously and wanted to be sure my belongings would be dry if that happened again! I carry the following items on a typical ride and still have plenty of extra space for more phone, keys, $, ID, iPod, power bar, shot blocks, tube, tire levers, patch kit. The only issue I have is that there are no compartments inside. I have to just throw everything in and fish around for the item I want to get out. I'm considering getting a zippered pouch or two to group like items inside. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

Thank you for your feedback.

A great bag

OK, so the bag is huge, bigger than you might need most of the time. However for long rides in nasty weather, the extra space is nice for those multiple layers you need to take on and off, plus some room for food. Since it's Ortlieb, it's absolutely waterproof.

Thank you for your feedback.

Bigger than given dimensions

I bought two of these bags, a medium and large, not knowing which would be big enough. The given dimensions (both here and on the Ortlieb site) are misleading in that the bags are much bigger. I suspect the difference lies in the roll up closure as well as the flexibility of the material.

The roll up design is new to me, so it seems like a pain at first but I like it better for big loads. I used to strain the zipper with a tight load on my previous bags.

There's no obvious place for a light. You can clip it to the fold, but I'm not sure how secure that will be. There are two straps mounted under the bag that a light adapter could be rigged to.

The materials is appropriately heavy. I haven't tried it out in wet conditions but it appears waterproof. Also, there aren't any seams, the usual place for water leakage.

The mounting mechanism is secure and easily installed. The bags comes on and off easily although the velcro strap needs to be undone.

Inside the bag is just that, a bag. No fancy storage sleeves or hooks. The opening is very big. This helps to see into the bag as it black and dark.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best saddle bag Ive tried

Perfectly watertight for well more than my needs, and the Medium has plenty of space for tube, multi tool, tire levers, patch kit, a blood sugar test kit and glucose tablets for this diabetic. If you arent carrying the diabetes stuff, a packable jacket can be crammed in there.

Good bag for commuting.

I can get a bit more into this bag than in more traditional design. The simple closure is nice. The strap and D-rings permit additional items to be tied onto the outside which has helped in taking rolled papers or other commuter things to work.

versatile mid-sized bag

A quick and easy to remove pack for carrying moderate amounts of stuff - I use it on my weekend bike in the summer when I want to incorporate an extended post-work ride.

Stable dry bag. Easy to mount. Grea for all day rides where a backpack would be a fashion faux pas.

Great for minimalist commuting

I commute 9 miles each way and have been using this bag for about a month. It's large enough for a complete change of clothes (I roll my clothes, rather than folding) OR a lunch in a container, plus phone, keys, wallet. Unfortunately it's not big enough for a change of clothes AND lunch. It's easy and quick for me to drive to work on the weekends so I usually drive in on the weekend and drop off clothes for the week. This allows me to just carry lunch and my personal items each day.

The bag fits very snug on the seatpost and saddle rails and has absolutely zero movement, even when standing and pedaling hard. I've also taken it on a five mile ride on rough gravel roads and it did fine. With it being winter, I have not yet commuted in the rain, but I've used Ortlieb products in the past and I have zero concern over its waterproof-ness.

I was debating between this bag and a larger bikepacking bag such as the Revelate Terrapin or Porcelain Rocket Mr. Fusion, but I was worried they would be overkill for my application. I kind of regret not going with a bikepacking bag but this will work just fine for my needs. Ideally I'd have something with a capacity a little larger than this, and slightly smaller than a bikepacking saddle bag.

On weeks when I cannot make time to drive into the office, I use a large backpack (Osprey Radial 34) and carry my clothes and lunch.

Thank you for your feedback.

Looks great and stays put

Somewhat big but rolls up tight and does not move. No chance of coming undone or unzipped and losing your stuff.

Great little waterproof bag

I have a bigger waterproof bag (from another manufacturer) that works great for bike packing, wanted something for day rides and this fits the bill perfectly. Big enough for tools and tube, even a vest and snack. Exactly what I was looking for.
