I would really like to like this light. Motion activated, really bright, rechargeable, small size allows you to mount under a saddle bag. It constantly needs recharged. I used it on a 34 mile ride, rode the next day without charging, and it was done by 17 miles.

It doesnt always work. I have been riding along, only to look down and see no light! I think it must have something to do with the housing, grit gets in there pretty easily. Which leads to...

Flimsy seals. The teensy O rings dont really keep water and grit out. And if the rings arent in the right place, the light simply wont screw into the mount.

I wouldnt buy another.

The concept of this light makes sense, it is really visable and bright and the motion activation is really cool. All that said I am disappointed in the battery life. It is good for about 45 to 50 miles before it dies. If you are a club rider or commuter this would not be an issue. I go over 50 about half of my rides and do the later without a light.

I don't regret buying this tail-light but I just wish the battery would last a bit longer. I like the fact that it turns on by itself as you start biking and turns off by itself when you finish your ride. I think they need to work on the battery though. It only last a couple of hours. I have another tail-light as a back up to this one.

I like the the motion sensor. You get on the bike and the sensor detects motion and turns on the light. Very cool. You get off the bike and it turns off after detecting no motion. Very cool! So you can't forget to turn it on before the ride and you can't forget to turn it off after the ride. 100 lumens is great, but the downside is that you have to recharge it often. I suspect this is the cost of using such a bright light. I am keen on using a bright tail light during the day or night to add safety to the ride. So I am okay with this. I have another tail light as a back-up in case this one dies mid-ride. I like the fact that it does not have a USB chord. You pop it out of its fixture and pop it in the USD slot on your computer. No need for a USB chord. That is convenient and smart. Not sure how long this will last as I just got it a few weeks ago. But I like the cutting edge technology. I have noticed that cars now give me a wider amount of room when they pass. I think the brightness of this light freaks them out. It certainly can't go unnoticed. You can't stop some jerk from running you over but you can make sure he has no excuses for doing it. It is impossible for anyone to NOT see you with this light hitting their eyes with 100 lumens. If someone runs you over, he is on a mission. Not an accident. Now some bright spark needs to integrate a camera and radar with this tail light so that if the radar detects a car about to run you over it snaps a photo of the license plate of the jerk who just killed you and WIFIs it to the police automatically. That would do more to stop drivers from killing cyclists than anything else out there. Yes-to answer your question, I have been hit before. Soccer Mom with Junior on board turned into me. She never saw me. She was proabably in a hurry, not paying attention to the road. I didn't get hurt, but it was a bit scary. Anything to make me more visible helps. Hence the 100 lumens.

The product itself is light, quick charging, easy to use. I used it for about a week of commuting until I noticed it fell out of the rubber holder on my seat post after commuting into work. I would caution anyone to think twice before purchasing.
