Greatly improves the appearance of a bike

This kit is designed to replace the speedcadence sensor on your rear stay. It also eliminates the need for magnets all over your bike. The one with four ears, is the cadence sensor and it attaches to your crankarm. I keep thinking that one of these would be great to take to a spin class, tape on the crank arm and with my Garmin, know my cadence. The other fits around the front or rear hub and is the speed sensor. In my mind, unless you ride the rollers, or in places where there is no GPS coverage, this device is not necessary, The computer unit will calculate your speed using GPS. If you need both, they work great, and they eliminate that ugly old speedcadence sensor on your stays and eliminates magnets.

Thank you for your feedback.

Very easy to install and use

I track my road rides on a Garmin watch, and wanted an easy way to quantify my workouts when I rode my track bike on rollersmag trainer. The speed and cadence sensors attached in a minute and paired with my watch just as quickly. Finally, something that works as advertised.

Only used it for a couple months so don't know about battery life, but so far I like the ease of use.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great add on for accurate speed and cadence

Cadence and speed sensors work as advertised. Simple add ons, but worth the modest price to get accurate read outs of cadence and speed. Highly recommended.

New Bike, New Set of Garmin Sensors

I've tried other brands ANT and Bluetooth speed and cadence sensors. I don't expect much from them. They should be durable, be easy to fit and remove, allow one to change the battery, and just work most of the time. The Garmin sensors deliver on all counts when others don't. I've still not changed the batteries in the first set I purchased more than a year ago. It's easy to move them between bikes but they are inexpensive enough not to have to do so. Multiple sensors may be connected to a single head-unit, and I've yet to suffer any data dropouts or failures. Solid.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great Cadence and Speed Sensor

I have this on my road bike and decided to replace the speedcadence sensor that comes with the Garmin 510 that I had on my TT Bike. It is easy to install and worked without a hitch. Is much more aero and clean looking than the sensor sitting on the chainstay. The only disadvantage to this is that if you use a trainer that doesn't have cadence speed built into the trainer but you have to remove your rear wheel, you are out of luck.

Thank you for your feedback.

Slick

I bought this to use on a fat bike where a normal speed-cadence combo sensor won't work. So far it's performed flawlessly. Connects quickly to my non-Garmin computer (Bontrager Node 2.1). About the only flaw is it's expensive for ANT only.

Thank you for your feedback.

No more fumbling with sensors and magnets.

After purchasing this set up I have had zero issues with my sensors. No more shifting parts or sliding magnets. I can get on and go. I had no problems getting these to communicate with the head unit and they are recognized immediately upon power up. At first I was swapping one set between two bikes and it was easy enough. After buying a second set it's just a matter of selecting the bike on my GPS and it ready. Great product and a side note, my batteries seem to last longer. Worth the money and much cleaner look.

Thank you for your feedback.

Eliminates the clunky cadencespeed pick up and magnet on the spoke. Mounting system is weak.

My initial impression was to rate this product five stars in both categories. I really like these units. They clean up the bike. Eliminate the clunky cadencespeed pickup from the chain stay and the magnet from the spokes.

My issue is with the mounting system for the cadence unit. When I first mounted it I was sloppy and my shoe rubbed against the mounting rubber bands. Wore through them on the first ride. I took great care when remounting to be sure the shoe would not rub. Worked fine for about two months and now I see one of the three bands in the mounting strap has broken. I'm in jeopardy of loosing the unit.

I do not know of a source for spare mounting straps. I'm using a double sided sticky strip and very narrow zip ties. I wish the unit were designed with zip ties in mind. They would be as thin as the current mounting strap, more durable and replaceable.

Thank you for your feedback.

Worth the Upgrade!

i hated the magnet on my back wheel, and i thought the cadence sensor was hideous... anyway, when i saw my buddy riding he had this sensor on his back wheel, and he told me Garmin has a new speedcadence sensor. I had to have it.

I had problems hooking it up...but come to find the battery was dead. Nice... Anyway, i replaced the battery and it's worked solid ever since. I've NEVER had a problem with it.

And, it looks a whole lot better than your ugly sensor dangling off your bike!

Thank you for your feedback.

Nice clean look but a little buggy at times

I had the older cadence/speed sensor which used a magnet on the crank arm and one on a spoke but when I got the new Edge 1000 decided to upgrade. I question the silicone bands ability to withstand breaking down in the elements but like the way they connect. Sometimes while riding the cadence numbers will jump around a little, maybe - 10 rooms and the stabilize for awhile but it averages out at end of ride. Looks nice not having the big sensor mounted to the chain stay.

Thank you for your feedback.

Works well

This unit works satisfactorily with my Garmin Edge 820. Although I sometimes see very brief fluctuations in my speed readings, the unit delivers an accurate total mileage at the end of a ride. I do not see errant maximum cadence readings like I have with another brand ANT cadence sensor. These are quick and easy to install. I would buy again.

Thank you for your feedback.

Still the best

Works as advertised. Still feel like they are the best speed and cadence sensors around. ANT is definitely still the most reliable connectivity around for both indoor and outdoor training. Pairs easily with Garmin computers, watches, and anything else that supports ANT

Easy to install and works great on a trainer

The summary says it all. Very easy to install and pair with your garmin device. Helps track accurate cadence during indoor woorkouts. Well worth the money.

Replacing prior pair, best I can find

Prior pair needed replacing at just under 20,000 miles of all weather use.

Positives

1. More reliable than prior magnet versions (sensor adjustments often needed on magnetic sensors due to my chainstay shape.

2. Easy to change batteries

3. Batteries last over 3,000 miles

4. Less wet weather concerns

Improvement needed

A. Cadence sensor has delayed response to bike computer and power meter

B. It would be great if replacement speed sensor covers were available. Cover gets loose over time.

Thank you for your feedback.

improves my garmin 810

I use it whenever I ride. The speed sensor makes your speed more reliable than the GPS. The cadence sensor allows you to know when to go to a lower or higher gear to keep up pedal power.

Just works

Great price, occasionally drops, but most of the time it just works. It would be nice if it communicated with my phone, but ultimately works great.
