Took the advise of another reviewer and use a X-King on the front and Race King on the back. I ride a hardtail on mostly aggressive hardpack with plenty of sandrocksroots mixed in. The Race King runs slightly widerfatter at 2.2 than the X-King, but they work great together. As predicted, the rear lacks some grip on very loose dirt and the braking power is not as good as my last tires... but not bad. They grab very well in turns and ride well in sand. I don't ride in the wet.
Made the switch from Scwable Rocket Rons 2.1 with tubes (took 35psi to avoid pinch flats) to tubeless Conti's (27psi) and it has made a HUGE difference in comfort and control. No contest - and the Ron's are pretty good! Never going back to tubes. Very happy with this purchase.
I am using 2 on the front tire & 2.2 in the back tire which is reinforced being 50 grams heavier.
Pros.
Really nice looking.
Extremely good traction
Wear resistant
High quality manually made in Germany
Cons.
Expensive
Bottom line.
Overall recommended if the price is not an impediment.
