High end technology and design trickles down for Shimano's 105 FC-5800-L Crankset.
The most obvious change for the 5800 crankset is the adoption of the asymmetric 4-bolt design already in use by Shimano for their Ultegra and Dura-Ace groups. This design eliminates the need for different cranks to run "standard" or "compact" gearing, with one crank doing double duty and accepting a larger range of chainrings. Another effect of this change is that rings will be interchangeable between 105, Ultegra, and Dura-Ace cranks.
Using Shimano's Hollowtech II technology, the 5800 105 cranks have a great blend of stiffness and lightweight and are both stiffer and lighter than their 5700 predecessors. In fitting with the group's move to an 11 speed drivetrain, the 5800 crank is also 11 speed compatible.
The 105 FC-5800-L Crankset is available in 170mm, 172.5mm, and 175mm lengths and with 50/34T or 53/39T rings. Black finish.

replacing a worn out bottom bracket on my Felt
repairing a worn out bottom bracket on my Felt. It had an entry level FSA crankset and switching to the Shimano 105 was a huge increase in performance. I got the product in a timely manner and price was right.
