Great light for exceptional visibility you can aim. User-friendly, lightweight, and easily rechargeable to boot!

I received this light as a gift a few weeks ago after getting tapped by a car that rolled through an intersection without seeing me (hey drivers - get off your phones!). I have been very happy with it so far. The helmet mounts mean the front light goes where I look, which helps me see around turns, and, most reassuringly, means I can get drivers' attention more easily and reliably than I can with just a handlebar-mounted light. I usually ride with my handlebar light on a low steady mode for road illumination and my helmet light on flash mode, so just a glance at a car windshield is enough to make sure the driver knows I'm there - and meanwhile my handlebar light is aimed in my direction of travel, so there's no confusion about where I'm going. The combination makes me feel more protected than I would with a single light, and I'm extra-visible from the back, too, thanks to the integrated rear light - which also functions as the battery pack for the Vis 360. Awesome.

I usually put my u-lock through my helmet strap when I lock up my bike, and was concerned that having a helmet light would mean I'd have to carry my whole helmet into establishments with me, but in fact the light unit itself detaches easily from the helmet mounts and takes up less space in my pocket or bag than my handlebar- and seatpost-mounted lights. The helmet mounts were fairly easy to install, except that the rubber strap for the front light broke almost immediately when I tried to put it on. I was able to mount the front mount with the spare Velcro strap that's provided, and I haven't actually had any trouble with that set-up. However, I got in touch with Light & Motion customer service via their website, and they quickly agreed to send me a new one. I received it promptly along with a spare AND a spare rear mount, since I'd mentioned to the person I was emailing with that I was interested in using this light as a headlamp for nighttime running as well. She pointed me to the right accessory headstrap to buy and sent me the spare rear mount so I could make it work with this light. Great customer service! Based on my experience with other L&M lights, which use similar rubber straps, I think it was just the one strap that was a dud.

I've been using Light & Motion USB-rechargeable bike lights for a while, so I already knew the charging was gonna be great - and it is. Plug the light into your computer (or a USB outlet adapter, like the one that probably came with your phone or tablet charger) and a little LED comes on to let you know how far along the charge is. Super simple, very reliable. I just plug it in every few days at work.

Can't recommend this light enough. Helmet lights might look a little silly, but they add a truly priceless amount of visibility. Being able to change where my light is aimed just by turning my head makes me feel much safer when riding after dark.

Great for helping to be seen

I got the L&M Vis 360 to add to my commuting arsenal and have a point source of light for making myself more visible to cars. And for that purpose, it's been great. If there's any weakness to it, it's the mount for the rear light. Depending on your helmet, you may or may not have a great way to be able to attach it to the rear. I've managed to make something work but it's still a little bit looser than I'd like and I have to be sure to re-cinch the velcro every few rides.

Great light

I bought the light about a month and a half ago and have used it quite a bit. It illuminates the road extremely well, even on the low setting, and the tail light is extremely visible. I found it a bit difficult to figure out how to attach the headlamp to the front of my helmet (the directions were figures only with very small print), but my wife was able to figure it out for me. The tail light attachment was easy. The battery does surprisingly well, despite the cold temps it has been in. I definitely recommend this product.

Great all-in-one lighting option!

Great front / rear lighting option! Very light and bright, plus the USB charging and setup is super easy.

I use this for commuting to work and it's far more portable than other options that I've explored.

The only con that I would mention is that it's a bit pricey compared to more typical headlight / tailight options. But, I think if you actually compared lights with similar performance characteristics, the price differential might not seem so high.

Light up the night with your helmet in all directions

Convenient for commuting, pleasure and errands. It is easy to have all lights on helmet (and none to steal on bike). Lock the bike and just take the helmet.

The ability to look at drivers about to enter the road WITH your helmet front light shining on them emphasizes your presence. And don't under-estimate the safety conferred by yellow side lights. Being seen is key.

The 360 Plus is more than bright enough for night and daytime strobe mode. If you are a speed demon, supplement the helmet lights with fixed lights and you are in great shape.

Runtime is decent and usb charging options are everywhere (in car, on computers, and wall transformers).

Well made night light

I bought this light for my weekly night rides in a group. Solid dual lights that snap on to the provided mounts. Installing the mounts was easy and moving them between helmets also seems simple, although I haven't done that yet. Overall a great value if you commute or ride at dusk or night.

Great upgrade from 360

I had a Vis 360 for last few years and yearned for a bit more battery life. Got my wish with the Vis 360 Plus. Was pleasantly surprised that it also has option to turn off rear light. Weight is not noticeable and is easy to mount on helmet. I use it as a back up light to my main handlebar light.

New and improved L&M Vis360, now twice as bright!

Copying everything I wrote about the older Vis360, because I have both. Main differences is the new light is brighter!

This light is bright enough to get you home in the dark and has a built in tail light. I leave this light permanently mounted to my commuter bike helmet, that way it is always with me in the event I need to ride home at dusk or in the dark.

Having a helmet mounted headlight means the light goes wherever you are looking. This means you can shine the light into car windows or at cars approaching on side street and at intersections. You know they saw you because they have to squint, and shield their eyes.

For full on night riding, I prefer to add a dedicated headlight to light more of the road. I use the 360 to fill in the gaps, see around the turns, and alert cars to my presence.

The light is rechargeable via USB and there is plenty of battery life. I recharge mine at work plugged into a standard USB port on my computer.

Cons It can be a challenge to mount the light to some helmets (Giro for instance). Charging uses a micro USB plug, but they are becoming more and more common. (one cable is included with the light)

Great light..

Provides enough light during my commute. Id rate it a 5 but it was a little bit hard to mount to my helmet. I ended up using zip ties on the rear light to secure it.

Had been looking for a cheap way to get a lamp on my helmet and found the plus on sale at western. Absolutely a better choice

Great visibility in front and big back lite. With the regular lights on the bike front and back it's making me very visible. Awesome to have light where I look.

Great light! But it only PULSES - it doesn't FLASH

This is a great addition to a commuting setup. I have a dynohub with bike mounted always-on front and tail lights. I put this L&M Vision 360 on my helmet. The bike mounted lights help me see the road and the Vis 360 helps drivers see me. This was very easy to securely mount on my Specialized helmet and I barely notice the additional weight.

The important thing to note is that the Vision 360 does NOT flash, it only pulses. This was a surprise to me, especially after watching some product videos - the light does not flash like that anymore. Per L&M, they changed to pulsing in order to comply with EU regulations. L&M also believes that pulsing is less distracting for car drivers and it limits fixation on the light. At any rate, it's still a great light so please be aware of this and set your expectations accordingly.

Outstanding Light.

This little light produces a lot of light. It stays securely on my helmet and works very well in the extreme cold of Minnesota. I absolutely recommend this product.

Lights work for seeing and being seen

This light set is great!

I consider something like this a necessity for the commute I do every week. I travel through the city then go though a very dark area (Washington Park) then along suburban bike trails that are reasonably well-lit. I need to be visible in the city and bike paths, as well as see the road in the dark areas. This light set helps fill both needs.

Battery life is more than adequate. I use it 2 hours/day and charge it every other day, it might go longer put I haven't pushed it.

Charger is micro-USB compatible so I can charge it from my computer at work.

The headlight is quite adjustable and is bright! The flash may be too much for drivers, so I point downwards. Easily done with these lights. The rear light can be turned on/off, no other modes.

Minor complaint rear light mounting on my helmet (Rudy Project Aryon) is a little weak, the velcro needs to be re-secured just about every ride - nothing too major.
