The Garmin Varia Headlight uses an ANT+ connection to an Edge® computer to automatically change beam angle based on rider speed. The faster one goes, the further out the 600 lumen light focuses its beam based on GPS information from a paired cyclocomputer. When connected to light-sensing Edge® devices, the headlight can also auto-adjust brightness based on ambient light, so it automatically comes on as the sun goes down or when riding through a tunnel. The Varia headlight has high, low, and auto steady-beam modes, with a claimed burn time of 2.5 hours on high. Includes universal mount and micro-USB cable. Recharge time is 6 hours. IPX7 waterproof rating. Claimed weight is 222 g.
See Garmin's website for complete Edge® compatibility information.

Heavy and bright
The light works well and a great addition to my garmin electronic equipment. Heavy by comparison but functional.
