I use these once the temperature dips south of 40 degrees. They add maybe ten degrees more of warmth, and do keep your feet dry. The toe is well designed and tough, and definitely held up better than what I had from Planet Bike. The bottoms take a lot of abuse, and the stitching starts coming undone after a month's use. I'm now starting my second winter on my 2nd pair, after my first pair's zipper failed catastrophically.
To BikeTiresDirect's credit, they helped me get a replacement pair and the zipper on these has held up accordingly.
I'm still in search of the overshoe that will give my cycling shoe warmth down into the single digits. These are not them.
Will keep your feet dry.
