Veloflex Black Clincher Road Tire

I've ridden these tires for over 4 years. I get about 1500mi on a rear tire which, admittedly, isn't that stellar, but in this class of tire seems competitive. They seem to offer good puncture resistance, as I appear to get flats less frequently than others in my normal group ride. Rider size may affect this dynamic as I've seen other reviewers complain that these tires flat early and often. In this context, rider size may be a factor. I weigh 157lbs and run 100psi front105psi rear, so YMMV.

What they excel at is road feel. In fact, they offer a road feel that is hard to match in a clincher. In the end, these tires afford me the confidence to take corners much more quickly than any other tire I've ridden. With the exception of my winter bike, I won't ride anything else.

I ride a full carbon Giant OCR Limited and weigh about 180 lbs. I was looking for a dependable lightweight tire, and after trying 2-3 others I found these and haven't looked back. No, they won't last as long as a bigger, heavier tire but that's okay with me because I love the ride. Better yet, these tires are fast. Put a pair of Veloflex tires on light rims and you'll notice an improvement in your acceleration because they're lighter and easier to spin. More importantly for me, they help make it easier to climb hills or maintain a good speed when cruising for 30 miles. Did I mention they provide excellend handling as well? Give these tires a try...you will not be disappointed.

I have ridden these for over a year on very good to poor road surfaces and only suffered 1 puncher that no tire could have survived. The ride quality is the best of any tire offering superior smoothness. The open clincher design really works At 240 pounds body weight I run then at 130- 140 psi with a light weight tube for absolute min rolling resistance. On a smooth road and a quite drive train all you can hear is a soothing mild whine of the knurled tread rib. Spoiled me for any other tire period.
