Tufo S33 Special Tubular Tire

These tires are great if you want to train on tubulars. You can ride these on very rough roads and be confident that you will make it home safe. Even with a tough tread they still have a great ride, and if you do have to replace one it won't break the bank.

I've ridden these tires for several years, on all types of Los Angeles roads, and they've performed magnificently. I ride about 150 miles a week, and for the last 18 months, I haven't had a flat on my current set. In fact, I've literally worn the crown off the rear tire which is why I'm here, shopping for new tires. Sure, you could buy one today and get a flat tomorrow, but in my book these have been the best tires for the price I've ever owned.

Downside? At full pressure, they're stiff, and on a short frame, like a crit bike, long rides can be that much more tiring. As for weight and performance, there are more responsive tires out there, but as I stopped racing ages ago, that's not an issue for me. The tires are simply great for slogging daily miles, great at resisting puncture, and with the black sidewalls, look great on my Mavic rims.
