Best tubular tire available!

I've been using this tire exclusively for all riding including all training rides, road races, crits and triathlons. The tires are incredibly light, remarkably comfortable and have the best wet and dry road handling of any tire I've used. If you install these correctly with the Tufo sealant, you should get at least 1,000 miles out of the tire. Because of the reduced mileage, they are expensive to use but worth it for ride quality and handling confidence. Please note that I weigh less than 160 lbs. In three years of exclusive use I ride carbon tubulars as everyday wheels, I've had only two punctures that weren't resolved by the sealant and forced me to call for a pick-up. I've had a few other punctures that resulted in slow leaks but with CO2, I was able to make it home. I would then replace the tire before the next ride. Usually, I am the only guy in my group that never has flats and is always happy with the way his tires perform. Take it from someone who has 10,000 miles experience with these tires as opposed to someone who tried them once and had a bad experience this is the best tire you can buy for speed, low weight and handling as long as you are not a heavy cyclist.

Durable, light, high pressure track tire.

As a track tire only taped to a Zipp disc, it lasted most of the season on Hellyer velodrome, which is a concrete 333m track. It's light, high pressure, and lasted about 16 race nights at Hellyer. That includes warm upcool down, about 20-25 points race 20-60 laps, scratch, miss n out, and other typical events during the TuesdayWednesday Night Hellyer Beatings. Also tried the 135g S3 light track tire, but it only lasted 3 nights. I'll keep using the 160g Elite Jet on the track.

Flats waaay too easily

I ordered a set of these for a 56mm carbon wheel. 5.5 miles into my first check out-ride with them I flatted with the rear in two places. Sealant would not work and kept spitting out the holes. I flatted the front on small pebble in the road on a climb of RR. Total miles on that one 15 training, 8 TT, and 19 on the Road Race. I ordered an S3 lite to replace the rear and haven't had any issues yet after a 10 mile ride, 60 mile road race and 20 mile crit. If you're not riding on super clean pavement or indoors, I would spend the money on a different tire.

BikeTiresDirect Comments
This is an all-out race tire optimized for lightest weight and lowest rolling resistance. It's best suited for time-trials on clean roads. Tires such as the Tufo S3 Lite and Tufo Elite Ride are better suited to crits and road races.
