Description
Tufo's lightest road racing, triathlon and time trial tires, puncture proof ply, 440 tpi casing, smooth lentil shaped crown, herringbone shoulders, extremely light and fast tire.
To make the tire weight of tubular clinchers more understandable, Tufo started to use TEW marking (tire equivalent weight). For instance, C ELITE JET < 160g TEW means the tire weight is equivalent to open clincher tire of 160g. 700x20 in all black or red/black or 650x20 in all black. 230 grams. 145-220 psi.
The valves stems on these tires are approximately 32mm. They can be extended using a Tufo Valve Extender (see related products below). NOTE: THESE ARE TUBULAR CLINCHER TIRES FOR CLINCHER RIMS ONLY AND NOT REGULAR TUBULAR TIRES - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT VERSION CHOSEN BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER.

All out race tires. Not for bad roads.
These tires are made for speed. The casing is extremely supple and lightweight. My average time trial speed is noticeably faster with these having switched from standard clinchers Pro3 Race and Open Corsa Evo CX. But they are a bit fragile. If your course has glass or sharp rocks, I'd find another tire.

No way I can recommend these tires.
I loved these tires for about 100 miles. They're light and fast. However, as others have said they're very fragile. After a week of riding, both tires flatted on me within days of each other. Once they get cut, the sealant does do it's job to a degree. However, I'm only able to inflate them up to about 60psi before the sealant breaks. These tires are too expensive for how fragile they are.

Definitely fragile. I would recommend a Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX instead.
I put three of these on my handcycle with a race this weekend. I decided to take one loop on my training route and made it 5 miles before tearing a small hole in the front tire. I looked carefully for anything that could have done this damage and could only find a small rock on the road near where the blowout occured. They are very fragile and though I had 200psi in them at the time I do not believe lower pressure would have helped much. I have just blown $250 on three tires when I could have gotten 3 Vittoria Open Corsa Evo Cx tires for $165. They are much more durable friend has been road racing them for 2 years with great durability and still 20mm wide with a max pressure of 140psi which I have just decided is plenty even for my 210 pound body. I want something I can trust. I planned on using the TUFO tires just for racing but now they are going on the wall for the distant chance I get to use them somewhere that absolutly has no hazards. I will be racing on the Continental 4000's that I bought for my general tour tire and I will be ordering some Vittoria's for racing.

Great tires but not good for road cycling. Very poor puncture resistance.
I put 3 new tires on my handcycle and after 300 mile on road cycling got two flats. Tires could not be repaired. I am going back to Continental GP4000.
The ride was rough and high tire noise. It did not feel good to be riding on them.
A bad choice for me.
