The Carbon-Core series of wheels employs a unique wheel construction where carbon fiber and Kevlar spokes span all across the diameter of the wheel through a thermoplastic carbon hub shell. The design is remarkably strong, light, and smooth-riding. Includes Ti Skewers. Weight 1360g.

Wheels are over rated

I weight 200 lbs, have had these for over 1 12 years, I've cracked 2 rear rims, and had to have the Shimano 10 spd hub replaced 6 times. The problem with the hub had been sometime in the first 500 miles while coasting the pawls engage and slam the chain into the chainstay -- violently, then it will function properly until it fails sometime before 1500 miles on the hub. I've put over 14000 miles on these wheels, and I never abused them, but still the cracked rims and hub problems I've had are the reason I believe these are over rated. Great ride and nice wheel when they aren't broken!
