As with much of the new Ultegra 6700 group, many design characteristics are trickled-down from the new Dura-Ace 7900 group. As with the Dura-Ace, the brake caliper arms have been given more leverage for greater power and modulation. The design is called Super SLR, and it means that the calipers are only compatible with Dura-Ace 7900 or Ultegra 6700 STI levers. The position of the cable stop has been moved for an easier entry of the brake housing in turn reducing cable friction. New brake pad compound has a claimed 100% greater stopping power in wet weather. Adjustable spring tension. Adjustable toe-in. 10mm, 12mm, 18mm, and 22mm brake fixing bolts for different frame or fork depths. 315 grams/set.
