Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 ST-7970 STI Levers

Digital Integration Intelligence (Di2) STI levers from Shimano eliminate shifting friction caused by cables and housing and allow lightning quick shifts. The shifting is much faster than mechanical Dura-Ace and less friction means much less hand effort for shifting. The shift pads require 2mm of movement to make a shift and shift one cog per stroke. Multiple strokes can be made while coasting and the multiple shifts will catch up as soon as pedaling is resumed. The actual brake lever is no longer used to make a shift so there are two shift pads now behind the brake lever. The ergonomics of the hoods are very similar to the mechanical Dura-ace but a bit narrower since they don't need to have room for cables and housing. The brake pivot has been moved closer to the hand for easier reach and better braking power and modulation. Reach is also adjustable for different sized hands.
