As with the entire XTR line, the Shimano M970 cassette is the ultimate in cost-is-no-object lightweight precision shifting. The teeth profiles have been re-designed for even quicker and crisper shifting. The largest four cogs are titanium for weight savings while the smaller five cogs are nickel coated steel for durability. The largest six cogs are held together in pairs with an alloy carrier for even more weight savings and stiffness. Plus, the wider spline of the carrier resists chewing into lightweight freehub bodies. 9-speed Shimano and SRAM compatible. Alloy lockring included.
