Good tire for self-contained touring

Just completed an 800 mile tour, my first on these tires. Bike was fully loaded, and roads varied from good pavement to rough gravel. Very tough tires. Ride was smooth even with tires at 100 PSI. Only drawbacks are heavy weight and a little noisy on smooth pavement. Good choice for rough roads.

Great durable commuting tire at reasonable price.

This is an older technology tire from Schwalbe that offers good puncture resistance. Newer version is the Marathon Plus that is more puncture proof at almost one and a half times the weight and the price. Nice reflective sidewalls!
