The Vredestein Fortezza TriComp tire is designed for speed and maximum control in all road racing conditions, wet or dry.

Vredestein's proven TriComp rubber compound ensures low rolling resistance and superior grip with three strategically placed rubber densities. They've also added Curve Control System® shoulder technology which specifically improves the tire's cornering traction in wet conditions.

A 120 TPI cotton/polyester casing offers a supple ride without giving up durability, and the Sportex Protection Layer® beneath the tread keeps keeps out sharp objects with minimal sacrifice in terms of weight or speed.

The Fortezza Tricomp is available in 700c x 23mm OR 25mm sizes (23-622 ISO) and various colors. Actual weight: 231 grams. Recommended inflation pressure: 115-145 PSI.

One of my favorite clinchers.

I think I've used just about every race tire we've got. This one is different. The Tricomp rubber layering gives this tire a really unique road feel. It's more like a 'foamy' feel than a 'balloony' feel, if that makes any sense at all. The final product is supple and grippy without being super thin or short-lived, making this a great racertrainer for the cyclist who doesn't want to change his tires every Monday morning after racing on Sunday.

Just a fantastic tire for a fantastic price!

I am a 250 lbs clydesdale road cyclist. Of all the tires I have ridden this Tricomp has never disappointed. I ride an aluminum bike with carbon components so I need a very strong and durable tire, because of my size, but also one that offers some forgiveness from harsh roads. Although this tire gives a very smooth feel, with the high tpi, you can fine tune how much of the road you want to feel. This tire just rocks! In addition it comes in a 700x 25c version which works great for my new Hed Belgium C2 plus rear wheel. Oh yeah, noone seems to ever beat biketiresdirect.com prices... especially if you can become a gold member.

My favorite tire

145 lbs. of air pressure never felt so smooth. They roll fast and absorb bumbs well. 4000 miles and one flat from a thorn (& one from the rim strip moving to the side). These are my go to tires from now on.

Excellent tire at a reasonable price

Have had very good luck with this tire. Inflates to 145 psi, however, I generally ride at about 120-125 psi which provides both comfort and confidence. Have been through about a dozen of these tires and have only had one snake bite

Perfect blend of high performance and durability

I have been using this tire for the past 18 months. Love it. I am a competitive rider/racer in SoCal. Cannot recall flatting on them. Just a great all-rounder. I also stocked up on them when they were on sale. I think they are switching the name of this model going forward.

Don't do it quality has declined in the last 10 years - now about a 500 mile tire.

Sale price was good, and the Schwalbe Duranos were not on sale, so I took a chance on the TriComp, which I ran years ago with good results in terms of durability, puncture resistance, and performance. But times have changed these lost their curve completely in just a few rides - shape is flat and smooth (not good). Am going back to Schwalbe, which is like the sun to a candle compared to these short-lived Vredesteins.

Sticky Confidence

I love descending curvey and twisty roads. Of all of the tires I have tried, the Verdestein Fortezza TriComps give me the most confidence to give my bike that little extra lean in the corners. They feel very supple and responsive.

25mm TriComp makes my bike a more comfortable ride and still low rolling resistance

Ok, I am a big guy and had been running the TriComp 23mm at about 140 lbs pressure to get a low rolling resistance. But I have a new bike that came with OEM Kenda 25mm tires that I promptly changed out to the Vrdestein Fortezza TriComp. WOW what a difference, these TriComps have very low rolling resistance even when I run now at 110psi and have a great comfortable ride. These TriComps rolled a lot easier than the OEM tires and at the 110psi, I feel much safer taking a fast tight corner. I have used the TriComp line for 7 years and these tires are great for me! I highly recommend them to my cycling friends.

Been using VREDESTEIN tires for probably ten years now.

I usually ride around 9000 miles a year with satisfactory results. Three years ago or so I got a couple tires that were extremely hard to mount and re-mount, but lately that has not been the case. I also got a couple VREDESTEINS with the wire beads (from overseas and not from Bike Tires Direct) that rode with a kind of funny feel. Stick with the folding ones and you'll be OK.

Best tires I have ever ridden

These tires are fast and light, but still give a comfortable and compliant ride. Never jumpy or sketchy on fast descents, always hold their line on wet pavement, and last as well as any other top brand. I am a 210 lb rider and never worry about pinch flats or punctures on these bomb proof tires. The choice of colors was what attracted me, but the fell and durability is why I keep buying them

Awesome Performance and Durability

These tires are pretty darn good. I'm an avid cyclist that does spirited riding and fast club rides. The TriComps have everything I'm looking for in a good road/race tire. Not only do they have outstanding performance, minimal rolling resistance and light weight they're also tough as nails. I've got over 1,000 miles on my set riding on all kinds of tarmac. The rear tire is a little worn, which is to be expected, but both tires have no visible cuts, mars, defects or bits of road shards embedded into the tire. I'm impressed with the Tri-Rubber Compound. They corner great, have a nice road feel without being too soft and you can pump them up to a high PSI if you so desire. I also like the different color choices to match your bike.

Fantastic tire!!

These ride really nice, seems to have plenty of air volume and a more supple ride compared to the other 25 mm tires I have used. Flat protection seems better than average for a racing tire but I think the ride is the best part. Mounted on 23mm HED Belgiums they measure around 26 - 27 mm wide and fit my SL4 Tarmac with room to spare. Grippy, smooth, fast and highly recommended.

Combines well durability, ride comfort and perfrormance

I ride roads in Western PA that are very beat up, especially in winter. I have been riding TriComps for more than 10 years and consistently get 2000 miles on rear tires with few flats. The tires handle well in good of bad weather.

I have been riding on these tires for about 10 years. I love them. Soft tires, easy to put on when they are new. you don't end up breaking tire levers or bruising your hands. grippy and sturdy. many colors to choose from too.
