The Zaffiro is an affordable training tire that delivers many high-end features. It contains Vittoria's Dot C.O.M. ("dot Computer Optimized Measure") concept which allows for calibration of the size of the tread dots according to their position on the tread surface. The dots are smaller in the center for less rolling resistance, and larger towards the sides for better grip, creating a tire that is fast on the straightaways and safe in corners. It also contains their Aramid 3D compound for puncture protection as well as a more robust casing. Folding bead. 60 tpi. Color: Full White or Full Black. 145 psi max. 700c x 23mm (23-622 ISO). 255 grams.

Good winter training tire for dirty roads. Sturdy.

I use the Vittoria Zaff Pros for winter riding around Hood River where the highway guys gravel the roads a lot. They seem to handle the sharp rocks and deep gravel well. No flats so far.

Probably could be a tire for summer touring on ruff roads.

Very easy to unfold and install. So far no problems after about 500 miles and handles well.

This replaced the standard tires that came with my road bike. They work well at pressures from 100 up to 140psi.

So-So tire

I really like how this tire rolls, nice and smooth on the smoothest of roads, but I can also feel the road quite well, like Flash had commented before me. I started out with the all Black tire, which worked great, until I started developing a flat spot on the rear tire and started developing pinch flats every few rides. Keep in mind, I don't rotate the tires, except for when the rear tire needs replaced. I'll move the front to the rear, and put the new tire on the front. I believe that I got nearly 1000 miles out of the black set before I went ahead and tossed the rear with the flat spot, and put the old front in storage. I then purchased a pair of the red compound tires. I got about 850 miles out of these before the casing split, right down the middle of the tire, causing quite a bulge, and making the tire nearly unrideable, and extremely unsafe. Luckily I still had the black tread tire in storage as a backup. By this point, the red compound rear tire had developed a flat spot, and started causing pinch flats. The red sure looked flashy on my bike, but the tread compound doesn't seem to be quite as sturdy as the black compound. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a new tire that hopefully will get double the mileage of this one.

Reasonable price, sure footed

I bought one of these to carry in my backpack on 100 mile rides as a spare if destroy what I already have mounted. I tested it out the other day on my Motobecane Record and it worked great. Seemed fast and held the road well. It has some tread so presumably it will hold on better than a slick when the road is wet, but I don't yet have experience with that. I can't give it 5 stars because I don't think it is magical, but certainly happy with the experience given what I paid for it thus far.

Best white tire!!

If you have ever wanted white tires...this is the one to get. Will they get dirty? Yes they will! But they lean up easy. And how many people have white tires? Style baby! I've ridden about 200 mi on these and they have held up pretty good so far.

Very good tire for the price

These tires are surprisingly zingy, I feel more road through the rear tire than on the Michelin Lithiums I used before. I have had several punctures and one tire was glass slashed and retired early in its life, too bad. If they made this tire with a kevlar belt it would be all I need in an all around tire.

Great tire!

These are a great, light tire for the price... They lack some puncture resistance, but they are a heck of a tire at that price. If you use them for commuting I would recommend getting a tire liner of some sorts. I don't get many flats but it couldn't hurt.
