The high mileage classic that is the Vittoria Rubino Pro comes into its third generation with even better ride characteristics. First, the casing has been upgraded from 120 tpi to an incredible 150 tpi for a supple ride, durability, and low rolling resistance. Kevlar® Endura 3D compound provides long tread life and better grip especially in wet weather. The tread design has also been changed to the Prism Vector Design for more reliability when cornering while retaining a smooth center for fast rolling.

This version of the Rubino Pro III is available in 700c (622 ISO) and various widths and colors. Folding bead. Claimed weight: 230g (700c x 23mm).

Durable, fast and corners well in all conditions, easy to change flats too!

I use these tires for long distance rides, commuting and everything else. My front tire has lasted for 2500 miles and the back tire lasted almost as long. They have a durable inlay that really protects the tube and they are more flexible and easier to put on then other brands I have had in the past. I live where it rains constantly and these tires corner well in wet conditions.

Solid all around tire, very durable

I've completed over 2500 miles on them so far. The rear tire has a few slashes and holes from glass I had to remove, but nothing got through to the tube. Very durable. Does extremely well in the rain and cornering. I have just ordered my second set for when I replace my first pair.

Durable, low maintenance tire with consistent, predictable handling characteristics, smooth rolling

Use this on my daily commuter, after 2200 miles, no flats. Rear a bit worn, front still quite usable so going to switch them around and try for 4000. Me, bike, and commuting gear add to about 220 pounds.

Durable, Good in a Variety of Conditions, Colors

I've used these in a variety of road conditions ranging from wet highways to sandy shoulders to hard-packed dirt roads. They prevent punctures well, have good traction in cornering, and have a wide pressure range I can adjust for road and weight conditions. My last set lasted about 3,000 miles and would have gone longer had I paid more attention to road debris. I like having the same tire available in a 25c so I can take packed dirt roads when I get bored with the same old road routes.

Best Tire I've used

For the price you really can't get much of a better training tire. Sure, probably not the lightest or cheapest tire around, but the durability is INCREDIBLE. I have these front and back on my fixed gear in red and I take them through potholes, broken glass and terrible awful things other tires would fail at the sight of. The Rubinos kept on troopin' through all of it, with a smooth, trustable ride quality. Haven't gotten a flat in a whole month straight of riding where I'd used to get at least a flat a week with other, cheaper tires. If you're looking for a good starter training tire look no further. Rubino Pros are worth every penny. Plus they come in cool colors too, which is a definite plus!

Tough, nice-riding tire, great in wet conditions

I bought these tires to mount on a new set of training commuting wheels. A friend had recommended them, the price was right, and it was the rainy season, so I decided to try them out instead of mounting up a set of my usual (Gatorskins). These are great tires. While they don't quite feel as fast, I feel like they handle better in wet weather than the Gatorskins, especially when cornering, I've done several fast, technical descents on damp roads with these tires, and they handle confidently. They are also quite durable. I have about 1400 miles on the current set, and commute on roads where there is often broken glass or small, sharp rocks. I have dug out countless small bits of debris but never once had a flat with these tires. They are also pretty easy to mount, which matches my experience with other Vittoria clinchers. At 6'4 and 185lbs, I ride them at 120wet-125dry psi, which seems to be my sweet spot for comfort, speed, and debris pinch-flat resistance.

Unfortunately, a rock took a small chunk of tread with it on a recent ride, exposing the casing (still no flat!), and seeing as the summer weather has arrived I've ordered a set of Gatorskins. But you can bet I'm going to fill the hole with some Shoo Goo and try to wring another 1000 miles out of this set. These are now my go-to tire for damp wet conditions.

Vittoria Rubino Pro III

I believe this to be the very best tire for the money and i have owned almost every good tire made. I am a Clyde at 272lbs and 6'4. I get more mileage and slighly more speed out of my Conti Grand Prix 4 Season's but at a rather large price increase! I have also found that for commuting and training the Panaracer T-Serv to also be an Excellent choice although slightly slower than either mentioned above but not by far and much SMOOTHER riding than either of the other mentioned! I you get into slick rain and snotty conditions like moss on wet trails ect the T-Serv has the best traction of the three but tends to produce a little drag on the smoothes comparitively. So the Vitt is quite possibly the best all arounder in the BIZ! My wife is the opossite at 5'0 even and 105lbs and she loves the Vittoria Rubino Pro III also the best!

Outstanding durability!

I needed training tires to fit on my Campagnolo Neutron Ultras and these rims are picky about fit with my usual, Continental AttackForce being impossible to stretch to fit.....I tried Michelin Pro tires which fit perfectly and were very grippy but flat WAY too easily...2-flats inside of 500-miles!...and shards of glass imbedded all over..the rubber is much too soft. A waste of money. I tried these Vittoria tires because I heard they fit easily on Campy rims....And it was the best move I ever made. Grippy and VERY durable to say the least. Over a thousand Miles and still counting with zero cutsflats over the same roads that doomed the Michelins. These tires have a nice raised herringbone tread that deflects debri nicely while not sacrificing too much in the weight department.

Very highly recommended!!!!!

6000 miles and still kicking! Best bang for your buck!

I've never had a tire last as long as my VIttoria Rubinos. Great all-weather every day tire. After three seasons and 6000 flat free miles (yes, I know. Amazingly lucky), I swapped them out for a pair of Diamantis. A friend took the least worn of the two after she tore a sidewall and needed something in a pinch. So far she has gotten another 1000 miles on them without a flat.

These were mounted on a pair of Rolf Elan Aero rims that I use with my IF Crown Jewel. They regularly saw very rough dirtgravel roads (including forestry roads best made for cross tires) and never let me down. While there may be better tires for gravel, none provide the confidence that these do at 50MPH.

Great all around training and touring tire

I switched to these tires from Michelins 10 years ago and never looked back. I get around 2500 mles on the rear and 4000 miles on the front even with the road conditions in less than perfect condition. I do believe keeping them inflated at 130 lbs. helps. The 150 TPI casing gives a good road feel and confident handling.

Makes slick corners not so slick

This is a great winter tire because of the micro tread pattern on the edge which provides great traction on slick corners, but they're not just a good winter tire. I've relied on these tires year round for solo training, fast club rides, and on many double centuries in weather conditions ranging from cold, 10 hour rainstorms, to 110F searing desert heat. Over the past 2 years of riding on these tires, I'm never the one in a group prone to flats. Of all of my bike parts and gear, the Vittoria Rubino Pro III tires seem to be the most reliable in that when I put a new set on, I usually won't have to remove them until about 3000 miles when they wear out.

Great tire for all riding conditions

I had been using the gatorskins, but decided to give these a try, I have put 2,500 miles on these tires. I have not had a flat or a cut tire. These tires hold up to the harsh conditions of our valley heat 100 and our winter conditions in the Sierra mountains. The tires handle well on a fast decent and I feel have better ride than the gatorskins. A good all around tire for the price.

Good tires at a good price

I chose the Vittoria Rubino Pro III because I had very good results with their tires in the past. So far they have worked great in summer conditions. My bike is red, and they certainly get looks. I considered the tires that cost twice as much, but was told that these are a much better value.

Solid tire

I've used Michelins for more than 20 years, but had to switch after getting Fulcrum rims. Couldn't mount the Michelins. Switched to these tires and they're very good. Not quite the grip and feel of the Michelins but they wear very well, perform satisfactorily and mount easily

Yes a GOOD tire

I used to love my conti's but too many blowouts, defects and fast wear. So, the Vitt Rubino Pro is my new experiment in tires and so far after 1000 miles I am quite pleased, wear is good, cornering good, and good solid feel descending 12,000 ft passes in Colorado. we will see how well in the next 1000.

Good Training Tire at a very good price.

This has been a great training tire. I am 215 lbs. and have been surprised by the wear. I installed them one week before the Hotter-n-Hell last year and put 1800 miles on them before I swapped the front for the back tire. With a 145psi hard casing they roll fast and the traction is better than most wet or dry. Only challenge is a little patience is needed for removing and installation. This is a good basic tire, and even better because of the very affordable price.

Great tire all around thus far!!!

Haven't had them long, replaced 25mm to 23mm. They handle well in wet and dry conditions and ride nice. I have only had them a couple of months, maybe 400 miles on them. One flat the other day, easy to change but, after a thorough bike cleaning the tires are in great shape with no slits or punctures. We shall see with more pedaling!!!

Flat prone....going back to Michelin

Was riding Michelin Krylion Carbon with great success until they were discontinued...switched to these. I've had more flats in the last 4 months than I had in the last 4 years. Swithing to Michelin's replacement for the Krylion...Michelin Pro4 Endurance. The TPI count is higher for this Vittoria, but the slightly better ride is not worth the number of flats.

Great ride. Long wearing.

I ride year-round with these tires and typically get 2,500 miles per pair. I've only had 2 flats in the past 2 years, both due to sharp pieces of glass. I find the 25mm tires to roll softer than the 23mm tires on our Texas chip sealed roads.

Great Tire

1,600 miles and still going. I live in South Florida where it rains HARD when it does come down. I have never had a grip issue in any condition and only flatted twice, one being a staple straight into the tire the other I did not see the cause of but replaced the tube and have kept going on it since months ago. I am looking for ANY reason to switch to Continental, which makes my favorite MTB tire, but these Vittorias give me no reason to make a change.

My tire of choice from now on, anyway

2,5000 to 3,000 miles per year on my bike. 120 PSI. Never (I mean never) had a failure (hope I didn't just jinx it.) Immediately noticed a much quieter and smoother ride than my previous Continentals. Great price, too.

Supple

I've put about 600 miles on these tires (25s) and am very pleased with their ride quality. They roll smoothly and grip corners like velcro. The 150 TPI is clearly at work here adding lots of suppleness, but I haven't noticed the greater wear I'd expected from a higher TPI tire. Our roads are pretty crummy here (freeze action, utility digging), so these tires are getting a good durability test and holding up well.

Not cheap, but I bought these on a special discount; that merits a 5-star value rating.

A solid, long lasting tire

I put about a hundred miles on my bike a week (wish it could be more), mostly in city conditions. My prior tires tended to get cut up and unusable pretty easily, and they weren't inexpensive. And changing flats often on the road is a buzz kill. I switched to this tire because friends I ride with had Vittorias and they never seemed to flat. I'm not a racer, but I like to ride hard and fast, and these tires ride well and take all the punishment I can dish out. I've got nothing negative to state about them.

This has become my new favorite tire

For years I have been running the Continental Tires( Grande Prix 4000, Gatorskins )and knew they were quite good so I was reluctant to switch and try these tires. Well, glad I did and they ( Vittoria Rubino Pro's ) will be the next tire I purchase as well. These are great tires. They resist flats very well, gets lots of mileage( these suckers last! ) , the ride is nice and smooth, grip in the corners and I swear I can go a bit faster. Also, for the price we have to pay for skinny bike tires these days, these are priced better than the Continentals and think they are a better tire. Happy Riding.

2500 miles no flats on two tires

I used to use the more pricey Conti Gatorskins for puncture resistance, but I've had better luck with the Vittoria Rubinos Pro III Road Tires. Ride feels pretty much the same, perhaps a little more grab with the Vittorias. I finally did get a flat from a tack on the road, not to much you can do about that.

Great tire for all road surfaces. Super value.

I ride on rough chip seal surfaces which tends to wear out tires fast. These are holding up well so far. Great side wall tread for cornering and smooth center for low rolling resistance makes this a great all around tire. Comes in colors for those who have to look good. Not the lightest road tire but a great value.

I love these tires.

Bought a pair to replace my Continental Prix (a brand I've been buying for years) which I thought would be hard to beat BUT the Rubino Pro's ride smooth (noticeably!) fast, confident feel in tight fast corners and wear very well. I've put 800 miles on them and so far I can tell this will be the tire I will be buying again.

Smooth rolling and puncture-free

I purchased these tires after years of using 23mm tires in an attempt to tame the pothole-filled, rough roads of south Seattle. After about 1000 miles, I can attest that they do provide a significantly smoother ride and I haven't had a single flat (although the roads have been mostly dry -- we'll see when things get soggy!). Overall, a good, solid tire.

Really like these tires.

Just put on my third pair of these tires. I rode the first pair 2,518 miles and the second pair 2,515 miles with no problems. They really handle turns well. I hit 50 mph coming down the mountain at Mena, AR two weeks ago. I see no need to try other tires since I like the handling and am getting good mileage out of these.

I also like the white wall option. They look really good with my Zipp 101's.

Great Tire

This is my second set of these. The first pair lasted several years with almost no flats. I replaced them with another brand. Big mistake. I started getting flats within 8 months, and then found a big break in the tire on the tread. I went back to these and I'm happy. My wife has had some for a couple years with not a single flat. We're happy with the way they ride. Good tires!

Best Pucture Resistant Tire Made

These are fairly lightweight and VERY durable. Very good traction in wet conditions. Purchased these to go on some Century Rides this summer. No flats. Roads sometimes were loaded with small debris and many riders had their bikes

turned upside down repairing flats. I noted that some riders had holes torn in their tires from small sharp rocks. Not me! Would recommend and purchase again when these wear out.

Awesome Training Tire

These are an awesome training tire that is like butter on pavement they will last ages, and very good at puncture resistance. These have a high PSI upper limit for low rolling resistance, but they could be a bit more grippier.

This is my second set I have purchased, plus a fantastic range of colour options too.

Great tire. No flats, so far. I ride in junk on the side of the road just like everyone else. Glass, nails, sharpe rocks, and misc stuff. These tires roll smooth, handle corners with ease, If and when this pair ware out I will by more.

Saved me from a crash

I got into a slide after turning at 20mph onto a street that had excess sprinkler runoff water on it. I don't know how I did it but stayed clipped in, leaned up, the tires grabbed and the bike righted itself and I went on. I've got some skills but I have to give credit to the tires which I just put on that week. I have no road rash and owe it to them.

Great tire

I put these tires on my bike in February. I now have 2,200 miles on them. I've had one flat on the front tire, when they were two weeks old due to a small but very sharp piece of glass. No issues since then. I put these tires on a new set of Zipp 101 wheels. They are fast and corner really well. I hit 48 mph twice last week with no fear of tire failure.

I will be buying more pairs of these tires based on the experience I have had so far.

Awesome smooth ride and cool colors to choose from.

Changed out my beloved and tough Gatorskins to these because I loved the color options - the lime green really makes my wheels pop. They handle well in all road conditions and have a light, quick responsive feel. The TPI is less than my Gators, but no problem traversing street garbage of all types and textures - only one flat so far, caused by a big chunk of glass that would have challenged any tire in similar qualityprice range. I hope they never wear out.

This tire looks great on my bike, resists punctures and stands up to rough pavement and lack of pavement. It is easy to install and remove, so in rare instances when flats occur, it saves a good deal of time.

2500 miles, only 1 flat!

I have found these tires to be excellent. I am 150lbs and ride tires at 110-115psi. I have had only 1 flat in 2500 miles. I ride on the roads of Colorado, some gravel, glass and occasional dirt road conditions. It is my 3rd set. The traction seems good in wet or dry, they roll well and are durable. I continue to purchase this tire as my first choice.

PriceWeightWear The best I've found

I am tough on tires. Not going to lose my 210-lbs, but don't want to use heavyweight tires either. Since discovering Rubino Pro III I have gotten nearly 3000 miles per set on each of my two road bikes and the single speed. I have not gotten this kind of miles since abandoning Armadillos. I get twice the mileage or more, than any Michelin I have used. Does it ride like the Pro 3 Mich? Not quite, but it rides well. The weight is very reasonable, feels fast and smooth. A very good value, which is why now I run them on all my bikes. Have switched to 25's on two of the bikes and they seem to ride even better than the 23's. Another amazing thing, for me anyway, I have not had to toss a tire because of failure (cuts or sidewall issue). Very good flat resistance.

Durable, comfortable, and great value

Bought these a few months ago to train for the Rouge Roubaix in 25mm. I have about 2000 miles on them with over 100 miles of gravel and many other miles on really bad paved roads with no flats. Ridden them on a couple of fast group rides as well and they did not feel slow. I weigh about 165 so I'm not too light or too heavy and ran em 100-110 psi depending on the day. Really good all around tire that you can literally ride on any road surface.

Good dry weather traction tires in cornering and braking. I found out last week that ice is still a problem. Haven't yet found a good tire for both road racing and the occasional ice patch.

Great road tires. They have protection inside to help prevent flats, bald centers for less rolling resistance and treaded sides for good cornering. 600 miles so far, no flats (knock on wood) and they still look new.

PROBLEM FREE TIRES

I just finished the season one my first set of Vittoria Rubino Pro III tires. I logged 2,200 on the tires, in a variety of conditions, without a single flat. The tires were rotated after about 1,000 miles.

I just ordered a new set of Vittoria's for the upcoming season.

The Stones sang Satisfaction and with Vittoria Rubino Pros so do I

I live in northern Vermont and classify myself as a strong recreational rider - most rides are in the 25 to 40 mile range. To date I have 1080 miles on the Rubinos. They handle and corner well and glide smoothly over some of Vermont's smoothest, potholed filled, and hard dirt roads. No flats to date and no wear of note on sidewalls. I do not ride in the rain, but when caught in rain I just ride to survive. I will try the Rubinos again.

Great all around tire. Good value.

I bought this set of tires to replace my worn out kendas.

I need a tire good with water traction, gravel roads, and also a thick enough outer tread to support a friction based generator for my track bike.

These tires will deliver dependable traction rain or shine. I have not had any punctures yet. With a moderate rolling resistance they are a moderate training for those living in a small town but put in the miles every so often.

A good tire for training on city roads.

I ride 250 miles a week on city roads. These tires hold up better than any I have used before. They are not easy to put on the first time but, with care can be done without damaging tube. And on wet pavement they give a good grip and are steady.

Great tire.

I did not realize how bad my tires were until I received this tire. Of course road tires do not have big profile that mountain bike tires have but I still want to see some tread on the tire. I am not sure I agree with the projected amount of miles a tires will take to lose tread but I will start calculating now because my last tires should have lasted longer than they did. I like these tires and feel more confident that I will not slide like a baseball player sliding into second like I did on my last tires.

only complaint is ride is hard.

even when running tire pressure at the low end.

very resistant to cuts from road hazards

Looks pretty, but looks aren't everything

I bought these tires in thinking that not only am I getting a stylish look that will complement my bike, but are durable as well. I was wrong! I read the other reviews about blow out and how they don't last, but the description of handling in water convinced me to try them. The tire did handle well in water, but the strong walls and withstanding of road hazards must have been left in the factory. The tire did not last 300mi! I had 3 blow outs, both a week apart. When I say both I mean I had two in one day! I'll stick to Gator skins or Armadillo's from now on, the colors are great but that's where it stops.

Decent tire. Mounts easily.

An okay tire. The only reason I use it is because I can barely mount Michelins on my Fulcrum Racing 1 rims. These mount fairly easily, wear fairly well, but don't handle or grip the pavement the way Michelins do.
