The Open Corsa CX III is Vittoria's fastest clincher, pairing a traditional construction with innovative technology.

The tire's incredible Corespun 320 TPI casing delivers a light and supple "open tubular" ride quality, along with comfortable performance at high pressures. But where this updated model really stands out is its new IsoGrip rubber. This high-performance road compound is specially reserved for Vittoria's Corsa Evo line—they call it the Formula 1 of cycling. It's been meticulously designed to meet the demands of the pro peloton, blending reliable all-conditions traction with unmatched speed.

Vittoria's light PRB 2.0 belt has also been placed beneath the tread for even better puncture resistance without slowing the tire down.

The Open Corsa CX III is available in various colors, 700c x 23mm (23-622 ISO). Folding bead. Recommended pressure: 115-145 PSI. Actual weight: 216 grams.

Note: This clincher tire is somewhat confusingly labeled as an "Open Tubular." It fits standard clincher rims.

My best as of the time of this review

Well, I didn't jump to to that conclusion without trying other tires.. I tried Continental Grand Prix S 4000 which has the best road feel but lack of durability . So I switched to these Tires on all my bikes. This one doesn't have the same sticky and grippy as Grand Prix S 4000, but they're simply the best. Why ? They are fast, excellent cornering and most importantly they can take all the abuses that you exposed them to. I can tell you that there are multiple cuts on my tires but they just keep rolling like there is nothing, not like some other tires claimed to be resistant to cut but when there is a single small cut, they just blew up. So, you just have to figure that out what you really want. For me, I can always count on these tires, speed, cornering or durability. But if you want the best road feel, go with the Grand Prix S 4000

A great smooth comfortable tire.

This is my second pair of Vittoria Open Corsa CX III Clincher Tires. I love the feel. Theyre the smoothest tires I've ridden so far. Even with 120 psi they're still comfortable. They probably don't last as long as some others but the comfort you get is worth the tradeoff.

go for it

This is an excellent tire. I went from Schwalbe Ultremos - where durability was a huge issue - to these and was concerned that these would feel slower. They do not at all and in the several months I have had the Open Corsas they have stood up to some stuff that would have shredded the Ultremos. The tread compounds are well done. Don't even think about the Ultremos in the rain, but these feel grounded at all times.

Favorite climbing tire.

These are the tires I use on my climbing wheels. Picked because they are super light, but also super supple. Pair them with latex tubes for great road feel, incredible responsiveness, and speed.

The smoothest ride on the market

You just cannot beat the smoothness of these tires. Add a latex inner tube and you would think that you took out 20 lbs/square inch in tire pressure. They are relatively puncture resistant - not the best, but better than average, and have an average life span. I keep mines on my bike for 2500 miles.

My favorite road tire

As close to tubular as you will get in a clincher. Light, grippy, great road feel. Only downside is that they nick up very easily. Wrecks havoc on my wallet because I ride them in Hawaii for a month every year and the volcanic bits in the road cut them up pretty fast. They are pricey if not on sale. But whenever I ride something that resists nicks more they never feel as good. So I just pay the price. It is worth it.

Good tire

I use the Vitoria Open Corsa CX III clincher tires with HED Ardennes wheels and latex inner tubes as my day-to day wheel set-up on a Colnago C50. I use a 25mm tire in the rear and a 23 mm tire in front, even though I'm not a heavy person. The combination has a nice synergy, and has performed well over time, and under a wide variety of conditions. The Vitoria Open Corsa CX III clincher has a good balance of characteristics - except they are somewhat expensive.

Fantastic tires. Great cornering and great road feel.

I have been using these tires for years. I love the road feel and the performance. Rolling resistance could not be better. I feel I have more confidence in my corning ability with these tires. I usually get around 1500 miles on a pair of tires. I have tried many of the top brands and I keep coming back to these tires time and again.

Great Ride, fantastic cornering! Overall Great training and race tire!

Love the ride quality on long training rides. Much better than the Maxxis Detonators I had been using. Also used in some training crits and they cornered very well.

Smooth and confortable!

Noticeable difference immediately from the most popular road tires I've regularly ridden (Conti, Michelin, Schwalbe).

Supple, comfy feel yet very fast rolling. I ride very clean roads daily so no punctures and no sidewall issues.

If you ride fairly clean roads I would recommend them as they don't seem fragile to me.

CX II real nice road feel but flat VERY easily

This is a review of the CX II 320 TPI version. I love the road feel of this tire - very smooth riding and they feel grippy in the corners. However they flat VERY easily. I bought 3 tires - road the first two for about 10 hrs and had 4 flats. So I swapped them out for a different tire last year. Went back to give them another try recently re-using the front and putting on the 3rd new tire in rear no flats in the first 3 rides then 2 flats in the next ride. So, I'm done with these tires. All the flats were similar scenarios the rubber in the center of the tread is super soft and cuts very easily - a small piece of glass or a small sharp stone with cut thru. Its a bummer that they flat so easily because I love the ride. I've been using Michelin Kryllium Carbons as training tires and they are much more flat resistant - I can't remember the last time I flatted one of these over the last few years - however they have a much stiffer ride then the Vittorias - a classic trade-offs.

My favorite tires.

So I have struggled with tires in two ways, One with the wet debris roads of Seattle, and their tendency to take a toll on tires, and to find a clincher that can deal with my 191cm 98kg frame.

The Vittoria Open Corsas fit the bill here perfectly, the 300 tpi construction not only manages to keep this tire together and roll extremely well, it also has an inflation range of 115 - 135 psi making it perfect for us Clydesdales.

Delivers the Vittoria ride I have come to expect.

I am flat out sold on 320tpi tires from Vittoria. I have been using the Open Corsa Evo CXII's and now these. I run these tires with latex tubes. I am not a racer but my limited saddle time is important and I figure why spend it on lousy tires. I bought these on sale and even full price I would give them a 5 star rating. I have tried some other tires and still come back to Vittoria because they deliver. Great tire and worth every penny in my book.
